your asking about a sucking noise, and your right by the filter. if its like a 1200 the you will hear sucking from the air filter.. just a thought

@saffronwales nah, thats what everyone said, but the carb is pretty quiet at idle. Turned out it was a pinched O-ring on the top of the pushrod tube. good to go now!

I thought so, but it's the pushrod tube leaking. I'm new to harleys, so I couldn't figure it out!
