@littlefrog12312 If you make a cage like this for hamsters, you're going to need to buy chicken wire or smaller mesh to put over the grids, because without that the hamster will be able to fit through the squares and escape.

@TheCavyHelper123 they don't sell c&c cages in pet stores... and the price depends on how big it will be and what you choose to make it out of... i can send u a link to a web site that sells these as kits so u can get an idea! :)

im gonna make a 2 story cage with a 2x3 on bottom and 2x1 on top for the two guinea pigs that i will be adopting(:

2x3 is kinda small for 2, the 2x1 doesnt count in total space, and the ramp to go upstairs takes away space from the 2x3. i thought a 2x4 was HUGE for 2, but seeing after you put in bowls, water bottles, toys, houses, ect., theres actually not as much space as i thought left.

thanks for the reply but the ramp wont take up much space. you can always put chew toys and stuff under it anyway and i wont be making the ramp to big. probably about 7 inches wide of so. i was originally just gonna have a one floor 2x4 but my dad thinks it takes up too much space :o

also, do you think i should have two water bottles so they dont fight? im probably making the top level a kitchen area :D

you should check out guineapigcages(dot)com they sell c&c cage kits, or everything separate, ramps, ect. they have a forum too. it helped me out, maybe it can help you. :)

@ItsMeBriiiii SOOOOOOOOOOO TRUE! AND IF YOU HAVE A BIG ENOUGH CLOSET YOU CAN PuT A BIG CAGE IN...TAKE OU THE DOORS (EASIER IF YOUR CLOSET HAS SLIDING DOORS............. MY CLOSET FITS A, 3x7 1/2 C AND C CAGE!
