Buy 'physical' gold. Gold coins. Gold Eagles, Maples, Krugerrands, or smaller (less expensive) coins. Don't invest in stocks or etf's. Do not put them in a bank safety deposit box, they could be confiscated. Buy a good box of your own. Hide it somewhere. Garden, cellar, loft, garage. Just hide it well. Tell no one, or, only tell 1 person where it is (someone you'd trust with your life). Also buy physical silver. Coins, bars, old coinage (many contained silver). Buy tinned food, medicnes etc.

When the US devalues its dollar it will start a race by other countries, especially Canada to see who can devalue their currency the quickest. It will be a race to the bottom. The Canadian economy will be severely damaged by a US devaluation as it will cause a deflationary nightmare, particularly with resources. In all western economies workers are being paid less. This trend will continue. People who lose their job will take a lower paying job, accept less hours, no overtime or even Part Time to make ends meet. This seems part of a controlled economic collapse. How else can the west compete with the lower wage countries unless we too get paid less?
