There were a lot of different scenes happening contemporarily. Anyone who was on the scene would have their own favorites. But Nicky is a consumate D.J.s D.J. and if you don't know the songs in the clip YOU WEREN'T THERE so NEXT.....
Nicky Siano rocks....all those on here who say he is over, past it, whatever don't know they're born It's about rocking a party not riding the pitch.Look how well he knows the music in this video he accents every vocal adlib and horn section in The Boss with a tweak of the mid or bass on the mixer with such amazing flare. The guys a god and you youngsters need to recognize and respect without this guy and his peers like Levan and Knuckles there would be no dance music.
*WOW* What an awesome blend! 1940's Swing music straight into 1970's disco. I could totally see a HUGE dance production based on Mr. Siano's mix. What a treat! And thanks for posting!
Miss Libby YOU GO....!!! I was there at The Gallery almost every weekend and weeknight and I was a member. NO ONE worked it like Nicky, NO CLUB touched The Gallery.....It was pure love of each other and music....I thank God that I was able to experience it/ To my sistah "Sunshine" and all the queens around the bug punch bowl up front of the room....Love and miss you all
i have watched this clip so many times "LOVE IT" nicky is dancing when playing with the eq,dancing when picking the next record its so good to see a dj who has been there from day 1 feeling it
Diana Ross - The Boss lame?? Dont think so! Siano is a great DJ still and Im sure he was even better back in the days of the Gallery. To imply Studio was the only great club of that era along with the Saint and the Garage is a ridiculous statement to make, do some research
I don't know where he's playing, but those tunes he's playing are LAME. Ironic, considering that the reason he left Studio was because he was considered too "underground". No idea whether he was ever a great DJ who has since lost it, or just a beneficiary of being one of the early names.
Studio was *the* ultimate disco! I was there, so don't bother name-dropping other clubs. The other two great clubs followed shortly thereafter, the Garage and the Saint.
You may have located this by now, but if you aint, the track is: "Sing. Sing, Sing" by "The Charlie Calello orchestra". Very popular with Ron Hardy (and me !) 1979 Midsong records.

I love this video so much. What memories you have brought back. I often talk to young people who were not even born at that time.
About the great moments of the disco era.
Thanks for posting your video. Also what the name of the intro music? I remember it but not by name.
