  • A great one! You always put such good little poems up. Thanks!

  • I read a quite bit of her poems; like how she puts them in meter.

  • @luciano9009 I agree--really interesting poet--including her technique.

  • @langstonify I forgot the book I read, but it displayed African Americans early as Phillis Wheatley who wrote conventional verse; this is what prompted me to write verse in meter (just another negro writing verse.)

  • @luciano9009 The book might have been James Weldon Johnson's Book of American Negro Verse--two editions of it, one around the turn of the century and then one in the 1920s. Best of luck with your writing.

  • @langstonify That's exactly it, I got it from the library a couple of years ago; now that I know the name, I'm going to purchase it on Amazon. Thanks alot man.

  • @luciano9009 You're most welcome--a lucky guess!

  • Lovely Poem. They say that all longing, wanting, desiring, ultimately stems from separation from our own true state of being. Our own true state of being is Love - love for ones self and for others. Great Post.

  • @Thereisonlythemoment Thanks so much for the comment and the insight.
