imagine being messier. no team in the league wanted him after he led the canucks out of the p-offs 3 straight yrs. N.Y. brings him back after they felt he was washed up and he proved he was washed up by leading the rangers out of the p-offs in his last 3 yrs in N.Y. - instead of bowing out gracfully he hung around 7 yrs to long to set personal records. if that's not selfish i don't know what is. he was a great player when playing on a great oiler team and a great golfer when playing in N.Y.

For the guy who is so angry about the Mario play in '92..... watch any hockey game before the 2004 strike/lockout and you will see that the hacking at a guys hands with your blade was a COMMON play especially when killing penalties (which is what was happening at the time) For a Pens fan to ever complain about a dirty player is a joke considering wha Ulf did to Cam Neely. Graves made a routine play it just happened to hit a soft spot, one in a million type thing.

There are very small articles and once in a while a page on hockey. Just pick up the paper on any given day and see for yourself how big hockey is in N.Y. or just enter M$G and look up to the rafters. What have the Knicks accomplished over the past 35 years?

During bad times for the NHL the New York market (well actually just the Rangers) has been one that consistently has some of the most loyal and passionate fans.
