  • Am Yisrael Hai- Israel Forever

  • she was so sexyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • עפרה עוד חיה

  • @Farnaz1Mansouri1

Ofra´s parents came to Israel in 1944. When operation "Magic carpet" happened, they were already settled in Israel. In November 1995 she was invited to Yemen by Yemeni goverment and was supposed to sing there. But because of assasination of Yichak Rabin , this journey to Yemen was cancelled.

  • God rest her great, great soul. Ofra Haza was the child of Yemeni Jews. The indigenous Jews of Yemen go back three thousand years. The God-foresaken Yemeni Muslims deported many of them to the desert, where the Israelis rescued them in Operation Magic Carpet, legendary. Many books have been written about it.

Notwithstanding the dikface Yemeni Muslims, Ofra harbored absolutely no hatred. Quite the contrary, she loved Yemen and the Middle East, and when famous sang there by invitation.

  • Dosnt she sing in prince of egypt?

  • @ for Prince of Egyptsararudd92 YES YES She sang in several languages.

  • @sararudd92 yeah that's her !

  • i dont like the crocdile tears,

  • are you kidding?!

    sorry...

    is this really Ofra?

  • @sonya841 Hey retard read some history, Jews are a ETHNO RELIGIOUS group meaning they are both an ethnicity and religion like Samaritans. Ofra is of Jewish (Hebrew) ancestry that lived in Yemen and she was born In Tel Aviv ISRAEL. She was in the Israeli army at a young age. Remember Jews from Yemen had a different culture from Arab Yemenis such as their dresses and dances.

  • Can anybody translate?

  • yesh kol kah harbe shirim mehamemim she sharim ba beyt kneset. Mishehu kmo Ofra H tzarih lehotzi otam le bama, ze yihie mamash ptihat eynaim le kulam

  • She's only 18 here...beautifull..

  • Ofra..may your spirit live on forever.

  • jewish shabat. she calls the shabat ,queen.

  • what is this song about?

  • Wow... thank you for such a great video! It's from 1975?? The clarity is so good!

  • shes jewish of yeminite decent

  • @sonya841 how sad that u are such an angry uneducated individual. u must be very frightened to be this angry and hostial towards other. so sorry to hear that.

  • @sonya841 ofra haza is not an arab but a jew born in tel aviv, israel of yemenite decent.you can.t be both arab and jew..if i am correct, one or the other?

sad she is dead..such wonderful music.

  • This would be the perfect place for arguing about politics.

    .

No, never mind, that would be queer.

  • Wunderschön

  • que npedazo de voz!!!!!

  • hi every body

i love OFRA HAZA very much

but i have a question plz help me and answer

is she from yemeni origin???? or from any country????

    thnx

  • @asr1sdr - Yes, she is Yemeni

  • @fresnostateofmind she was born in Israel her parents were from yemen but they moved before she was born

  • I remember Galbi - that was a HIT! x

  • Such abeautiful songs and from a most beautiful singer ever. And sadly people are talking about religion and hate for each other. Please tell me so whose wining so far??? Or just losers.??

  • Great to see Ofra wearing the Star of David, and even a very large one. She was not hiding her Jewishness even years a go. Way to go Ofra!! Thanks for the post!! What are the words in English? I just listen to Ofra sing over and over in Hebrew and I am still so lifted in my spirit!! Thanks for the post!!

  • man she was super pretty back then too. voice was a little too oriental :P but still nice

  • @TheArabiandesert

ahahaha youre so funny.. you have proven yourself to be a real arab.

and you.. jimmykroxy ..you are just stupid.. because muslims also claim that land as their terrotory. It just dont make sense what you are saying.

My idea: that land should be called : Chris Falas Is Real .. Chrisfalasisreal

and all people should live there, than the rest of the world is no longer requered, so over 100 years you can fight for the land youre fathers left

    :)

  • ماحكم الذي يتزوج علا يهوديه ياشباب

  • I LOVE HER. I'm Portuguese. Portugal had conquered half world when we where the richiest country in Europe (brasil, Angola, India, Omã, Timur, Mozambique, Sri Lanka, etc) and, mainly, we had lived in peace with almost all peopel and mixed (sexually and culturally with them). I would lke thar arabs hebrews and catholic people lived in peace PEACE FOR ALL MANKIND

  • @wwwportugal bravo You are right, lives Portugal PEACE FOR ALL MANKIND

  • يععععععععععع

    sucks

  • There are some sad comments here. Remember Ofra was a Jew from a Yemenite background: her family lived in Yemen before moving to Israel to escape hatred against Jews. But she sang in different languages to try to bridge the gap between Israeli and Arabic culture, as she was very pro-peace. Please respect her for that.

  • I don't know how you find this exclusive footage but its a pure gem.

  • i am captivated by her voice and what a pretty woman. If I could just find one like that it would be nice.

  • איזו יפה איזו נדירה עפרה עפרה איפה את ????

  • @s7672033

היא צריכה להגיעה בכל רגע , יחד עם המשיח

  • the saddest things with all the hate-talk on this thread, that she was a supporter of the idea of peace and co-existence, hating her for being a Jew from Israel without knowing shit about her way of life and her beliefs is just unbelievable ignorance

  • @Shiroari I thought she was a jew from yemen?

  • @MDefsquad9 she was Jewish from Yemenite background - her family immigrated to Israel before she was born, few comments above me Aviva2121 explained it the best

  • @TheArabiandesert

Yalla ya koss ommak ya khawal. Ofra Haza di ahsan mn ommak ya ebn el kalb ya khawal ya ebn el sharameet.

Rest in Peace Ofra, and never mind those narrow-minded idiots.

  • Ofra is the best. One of the most unique voices and personalities of this age. :)

  • Does anyone know the lyrics?

  • beautiful song

  • i am glad I discovered her tonite. Well God takes dem away young. Awesome

  • Remember the 23de this month is the ten year date for Ofra's passing

    Lament her then

  • uolaod forma parte de los imbeciles que envidian a un pueblo valiente y laborioso como lo es ISRAEL.Eres un terrorista de mierda.Que te lleve el diablo

  • Ofra is wonderful, unfortunately some of the previous commentators are awful.

  • I LOVE ISRAEL from Montevideo, Uruguay Peace in Holly Land

  • @uolaod go away.

  • pilsy, im brown eyed and im not ashkie.

and mizrahis can have blue eyes, you stupid motherfucker.

  • Ai ai ai... Can't we listen to Ofra Haza without arguing about Ashkenazi/Sephardi or Goy/Douchebag- so on.... Let's be proud of Ofra Haza, the world has lost a great talent! Shame on you!!!

  • you know what...... Im sorry, i gotta say it. I am sick and tired of racist jerks talking about us. We are one of the few groups who mind our own damn business. We dont bother anyone. You shit on your own religion by kissing your crosses and doing a few hail mary's every time you do something crappy.you are rude to anyone who is different and then you have the nerve to be in church on sunday and preach brotherly love.

  • im trying to figure out if dough boy is mentally retarded.

  • @pillsburydoughboy47 my grandparents are not european, you illiterate savage.

honestly, can you go fuck a camel now?

  • @pillsburydoughboy47 stop trying to sound threatening. you're on the internet, douchebag. you're probably a scrawny piece of shit. hahaha.

  • Why are people making political comments here?

If you want to discuss politics there are plenty of videos for that purpose.

  • r.i.p ofra haza

  • ayn tzfaradim v ayn ashkenazim, gam ayn dati''im v ayn hilom. KULANU BNEI YISRAEL VE ZELEZE, az di!

    Ezeh sinat chinam mimeichem.

    shame on you both.

  • просто великолепно !!! нет слов !!!

  • Hard science disputes your barely coherent blatherings.

    Now go away.

  • Hard science? You mean the "science" that says some blue eyed blonde fuck is "J2?" IT IS FUCKING OBVIOUS MOST ASHKENAZI DO NOT HAVE MIDDLE EASTERN ANCESTRY.

IF YOU DO NOT LOOK SEMITIC, IT IS BECAUSE A SEMITE WAS NOT YOUR FATHER, OR GREAT GRAND FATHER.

But you believe that bullshit if you want.

  • lol...I am Ashkenazic Jewish and know many other Ashkenazim, and I can't think of any offhand that are naturally blond AND blue-eyed (sometimes one or the other, though).

What exactly does a "Semite" look like, to you? Take a look at Hafez Assed, former Syrian dictator, and one of the most pale people ever to walk the earth!

Here's your homework. Look up the following two terms: "genetic drift", and "founder effect".

Check back after you've done so and I'll administer a quiz.

  • ah, so that is what you ashkenazi use to cover your ass.

    1) you fuckheads weren't in europe long enough for the clime to significantly alter you.

    2) Dude, there are mexicans who have lived here for 500 years (New Mexico), and none of them look white.

Whatever man; keep abusing science. The fact of the matter is the Y chromosome is resilient generation after generation, and every man looks like his great grandfather, or ressembles him, from 1,000 years ago.

  • Jews were in Europe for over a thousand years during which they were separated from other Jewish populations - that is certainly enough time to develop distinguishing charactistics especially when combined with limited intermarriage with non-Semites (just as the Mizrachim had limited intermarriage with non-Hebrews). The Ashkenazim are more closely related to Sephardim and Arabs than they are to ANY of the Gentile European ethnic groups. No amount of make-believe on your part can change that.

  • only 30%.

  • NewWave is correct. Genetic study after study have found Ashkenazim and MIzrahim most closely related. The studies also found the Ashkenazi genome at most 20% European, with the remaining 80% Semitic.

The thread owner should delete Pillsbury's posts as an offense to Ofra's philosophy and beauty.

  • it sounds to me like you fuckheads are just using that to cover your lies, you are basically saying "we look European because we've lived in europe for so long."

    whatever.

  • Judaism is not about looks, it is not a discriminating or rasistic religion. We lived for thousands of years in Europe and people who were sincere in their believes joined our people. This why we can look blond, red, brown, black or even yellow.

  • she is so lovely. just did what she could do best all her life. has nothing to do with me, my country or my people, but i love her. def israel's pride.

  • she looks better in the past

  • what the hell,

  • i was responding to the nose job if she had one. dick

  • @AstridAsterix It will always be with the help and cooperation of us your cousins in Saudi Arabia. Peace is in the horizon. :) Shalom.

  • Slifslafslifslaf:

    Nobody cares about your mother.

  • thanks for your self introduction,

    slifslafslifslaf :D

  • stop embarrassing yourself, vile savage.

  • This is the power of music. Do you all see how Ofra Haza's voice has a way of bringing together people of all different nationalities, religions, & ethnicities? This is what she wanted because she was a woman full of love & peace.

I've been a fan of hers since (around) October or November 1988. I was 7 years old in the 2nd grade at that time!

  • emotionally and affectively in her great voice i loved it

  • I had the privilege of hearing Ms. Haza perform live in San Francisco in 1993. I only wish the concert would've lasted a bit longer, but it was definitely one of the highlights of my life! She had one of the most beautiful voices of any singer on Earth--I only wish mainstream America would have had more opportunities to hear her sing (aside from her influence on hip-hop music). I did not learn she had passed away until 2 years ago, I will miss her!

  • I am really proud of her because she came from Yemen >>> Yemen graduates singers like this hot style and also listen to the jewish singer Zion and Barach all are Yemenis

  • I definitely am interested in listening to these Yemeni performers also--I'll be on the lookout for their material. Thanks also for supplying this early Haza clip! I know she was a performer of enormous stature in Israel and Europe, but it has only been though YouTube that I've been able to see her performances prior to the late 80s, when she first came to the attention of many Americans.

  • Tashingful, Ofra did not come from Yemen. Her parents did. Ofra came from Israel (Hatikva specifically).

  • i am too proud that all Ofra singer and Zion golan AND Brach are all YEMENIS and YEMEN IS crown worn by all yemenis with great voices uniqe styles they are yemenis i realy proud of them

  • шалом!

  • Does anybody know a place to get the English translation for this song? or does anybody know what ofra is saying in English? I woud appreciate a translation of thsi song. thank you very much.

  • amasing voice and great music!

  • She so much looks like a better version of Cleopatra here... :) RIP Ofra!

So bad that I feel urged to indicate my nationalty here, as this (art!) has nothing to do about it... Anyway, I'm Turkish and a proud Muslim. Still, I DON'T have any (!) problems with listening Jewish - or to be more presise Israeli - music! Indeed, I love Ofra and Boaz! :)

  • And I am a Persian born of an old family of Muslims who loves Yemeni music with all of my heart. I identify with this music because it belongs to all of us. It belongs to the Jews, Arabs, Assyrians, Armenians, Turks, Kurds, Azeris and the many tribes of the Middle East. There was a time when we all lived in relative Peace without borders but with caravans. This music is in our blood as we are in the blood of each other.

  • respect !!

  • Dearest Arabs, please note that I am lebanese and I agree that Israel is for Israelites, not for arabs. I can't stand against God's command for He made a path for them (Jewish) to live all their lives in Israel the promissed land

  • @jimmykroxy but it looks like that God forgot to tell the palestinians to share the land with the jews, they refuse to accept israel's existence, and the resulting wars/occupation/terrorism/refugee camps, all sad...

  • @kirmour That was one hell of a comment! ROFL!

  • @jimmykroxy everyone is entitled to their opinion my friend, but can you prove that this is indeed God's command for the israelites? That ofcourse after you prove to me that God does infact exist. Thank you.

  • @jimmykroxy

You're an amazing person, you know that? :D

  • @jimmykroxy Why the Hell Arabs can't live in Israel?

How about (if your so, so strict) other countries will ban Jews live in them cuz "Israel is for the Israelites)

  • Arabs do live in Israel. Arabs with Israeli citizenship comprise about 20% of the population of Israel.

  • @pcgrief NOT BY CHOICE

  • @BratWody go get a brain

  • @zachidude1 I have to I can spare you one. Israel is for everybody who wants to live in it.

  • @BratWody i lived there many years &israelis r the most anti-racist ppl i ever known! 5million ppl from 130 countries, they c u as the same whether ur middle-eastern, european, ethiopian, chinese. there's been 63arab members of the knesset, representing over 10%of total membership. they hav 9 political parties (some who want us gone). sum arab members going to libya talking to gadafi, 1 was even in the flotilla fighting against us! there's arab in israeli supreme court! 1.8 million arab citizens

  • I am Christian and I love Jewish for my Master is Jewish Carpenter (Jesus) - He is the Lord of Sabbath and I Keep Sabbath Holy in God's way not people way. and I also love and pray on Sunday for it was the day of God when he killed the death and went up to Heavenly Father as human - one of the Trinity. El Shadai Adonai

  • My God.....why people cannot apreciatte art? Why they have to shift the things to war, enemy, detruction, possessivity and so on?

  • onother islamic lie. it wasnt 6 milion it was 700 thowsend palestinians that refused the 2 state solution. remember? the 1967 land was not at jewish hands till 1967 incloding jerusalem. wear was the palestinian country then? jews were in palestine since before the romans gave jewdeah her new name"palestine" its not even arabic. jews been there under rome bizant arabs and turks as a minoraty and originaly jews exepted 20% of palestine without gaza jerusalem jewdeah sameria and todays jordan.

  • that is awesome... she is beautiful and her voice matches her looks just amazing. Thank you for posting this.

  • כלב טיפש

  • b100100b

is another islamic propagand victem that doesnt know his own history. he,like the rest of the arab world think jews landed from rusia and stole arab land. he doesnt know that jews were a part of israel and the middle east since before islam. he doesnt know of the jewish comunities that were in suria and the islamic world and that 60% of jews in israel are not from europe but are famelies of 1 milion jewish refugies that fled or expeled from the arab and muslim world in the 40's 50'

  • islam did a good mindset job with you.

may i remind you of your own religion since your too busy idolising it.

jews were persecuted since your prophet time. like the rest of the planet there were good and bad times for the jews under other nations. but never the less.they were dihmies.second class citizen. paing the jisiya tax and feeling themselves subdued as your koran orders.you cant live with the fact that just like you, jews are intitled to control their life

    why? because your a muslim

  • Great song of the Arab Jew Ofra.

  • You mean Temani Jew.

  • she's a Yemenite Jew

  • did anyone notice that her nose was very very different in her early career-I'm pretty sure she had a nose job later. not that there's anything wrong with that. only i didn't know they had plastic surgeries back than.

  • they had it at the end of WWI believe it or not. it was popular in the 1930's for gangsters to change their faces or to hide fingerprints. extremely painful.

  • Are you really that Daft no plastic surgeons back then hahahahaha thats funny

  • תודה לך על שהוספת את זה וידאו. סרט זה הוא מדהים!

  • Wonderful song!!

  • great video. I guess her voice became much stronger as she got older.
