great tone. i guess for only playing for one year youre pretty good. ive been playing for two years and in some ways youre even better than me. and there was a cut somewhere in the middle which really upsetted me.
overall i suggest excessively large amounts of extremely dedicated, passionate, and meditated practice just as i would to any guitarist.
@yoututeddy NO save yourself the trouble of restringing that thing, its floating trem system is just a bitch to restring unless you've played with these Tremolo Systems. I mean the guitar is great for $400 but its a not worth breaking into 30 pieces because the restringing process.
@NarutoHero508 that's why you change the strings 1 at a time instead of all at the same time.... That way there's no removing or changing springs, and it stays basically right through the process
@yoututeddy ibanez is amazing but personally, i would recommend an esp or ltd, i say this because i have both an rg570 custom and an ltdh1001fm, and a strat, but i dont recommend that if you want play this type of music.

hey some very nice surfin on that fretboard ... i've been looking at the sam totman2 sapphire blue flame maple top with the evolution pickups as to the infinitiy on the white rg350dx... is it worth the 531 euro difference in price? both bodies are cool in my opinion but sound is what i'm looking for in an aggresive pickup and would like it to sound decent in clean mode too... i'm not sold on the sam totman 2 in clean mode yet... maybe played through a tube amp... still researching... thanks!

Dude sorry but its kinda bad, im playing guitar for a year(started playing on the 25 December of the past year when i bought my firs acoustic) and I do that song in original speed, good u dig music like that but it really needs speed and 2 shred it takes to work extremely hard, i personally play guitar fo 8 hours per day, i thumbed it up though for a good taste, work harder and month from now u already will be shreding, trust me. The only person who can shred AND put emotion behind it while playing that fast is Jarri Maenpaa of Wintersun, but trust me he did not get to that skill level playing every song fast as hell. @adrinhxc mate dimarzio's aren't useless!! lol :P But i get what you mean saying that this is a lot cheaper, slightly less but still very good guitar. Though I find the bridge pickup on it is absolute crap. Neck's ok though, but still if you're reasonably serious I would suggest swapping the bridge and neck out for something like tone zone/air norton or maybe evolution. i'm gonna do that when i have the money, other than the somewhat lacking pickups this is a great guitar.

Really is it not? Must be a pretty decent guitar for the price then! I've heard some pretty good things about that series as well, must be true lol :P

compared to my mh-50 its alot more on the treble side, but it doesnt really phase me, seeing as how i have mine in drop c an higher tunings, ive only had mine for bout a week and a half, got it used for 250$ at guitar center,, its practically new, so yeah, sounds great with my settings, for an ibanez, plus mines an older model, idk what year, should have video up soon,
@adrinhxc cool :) Yea i've got the behringer gmx1200h amp head but only with these random speakers that we pretty much found in the garage lol :P They're okay, though, and I think they're quite bassy compared to the others, which with this guitar is obviously good :P
Nice, yea I got mine new a few months ago for $480 new :) which is like $120 less than where i nearly bought it from lol :P Cool, it would be nice to know what differences there are between the older and newer models :)

its actually a rg250, officialy its a 2002 Ibanez RG250DX. the pick ups are PSND1 (BRIDGE) PSND2 (NECK) AND PSND MIDDLE. prettty crazy, cause it looks very similar to the rg350dx. the trem system is the ibanez double edge, which i actually prefer to the newer edges. ill let you know as soon as i get the video up so you can hear it, for being 9 years old, its pretty mint.

Sounds like it's pretty good for it's age :) Yea before I bought this I was wondering about the floating trems etc but right now I don't need to tune down much so I've never changed from standard tuning. Cool that'll be good, I've never actually heard those pickups that Ibanez used on their earlier models, would be interesting :)
@FrontlineGuitar lol yeah floyd's arent a problem at all, the only downside is you get no tuning versatility, but that not to much of a problem for me. this is my second guitar with a floyd so yeah, im very familiar with the system, and have to say its actually more complicated then some thing, but also easy to understand.
and yeah, now that i pay attention to the newer models actual tone, before people use pedals and shit, i can hear the difference,
@adrinhxc yea I know but my next guitar will probably not have a floyd since I've really got no decent guitar for other tunings at all :L I'm probably not gonna buy anything for several years, but the guitar I'm quite interested in is the ESP LTD MH-1000nt in Sunburst with the Duncans. Either that or the Schecter Hellraiser C-1 but apparantly that's got a thicker neck which with the stuff I'm learning and will hopefully continue to play at higher levels is a bit of a downside...

haha are you plugging the boss me-50 in direct or running it through an amp? i have the same thing, the distortion is very... electronic sounding haha. the only time i get a good sound is out of my marshall hybrid. if you find out how to get it to sound a little more high end, like EQs or something lemme know.
@brandymalmsteen With his guitar and I don't know if you own this model but vibrato on that guitar is really hard because of the floating the trem system. @1:20-1:30 you can hear it but again that guitar is really hard to get any "feel". Maybe its just my guitar I own the same one and mine is just a nightmare to restring :P

@bolvack:- dude i've been playing one year and I'm play Steve Vai and Joe Satriani stuff, not the incredibly hard stuff they've done but some of it like Lotus Feet, For the Love of god, always with me, always with you. It's not that hard if you actually have the enthusiam to play everyday for 5 hours+.

@FrontlineGuitar yeah, either that or my line 6 spider II 210 has badass settings that make it sound better.
compared to my mh-50 its alot more on the treble side, but it doesnt really phase me, seeing as how i have mine in drop c an higher tunings, ive only had mine for bout a week and a half, got it used for 250$ at guitar center,, its practically new, so yeah, sounds great with my settings, for an ibanez, plus mines an older model, idk what year, should have video up soon,

@adrinhxc cool :) Yea i've got the behringer gmx1200h amp head but only with these random speakers that we pretty much found in the garage lol :P They're okay, though, and I think they're quite bassy compared to the others, which with this guitar is obviously good :P
Nice, yea I got mine new a few months ago for $480 new :) which is like $120 less than where i nearly bought it from lol :P Cool, it would be nice to know what differences there are between the older and newer models :)

@FrontlineGuitar ohh yeah would be good, especially considering that i jus found out that my rg, isnt a 350
its actually a rg250, officialy its a 2002 Ibanez RG250DX. the pick ups are PSND1 (BRIDGE) PSND2 (NECK) AND PSND MIDDLE. prettty crazy, cause it looks very similar to the rg350dx. the trem system is the ibanez double edge, which i actually prefer to the newer edges. ill let you know as soon as i get the video up so you can hear it, for being 9 years old, its pretty mint.

@adrinhxc oh right lol must have been a surprise! Sounds like it's pretty good for it's age :) Yea before I bought this I was wondering about the floating trems etc but right now I don't need to tune down much so I've never changed from standard tuning. Cool that'll be good, I've never actually heard those pickups that Ibanez used on their earlier models, would be interesting :)

@FrontlineGuitar lol yeah floyd's arent a problem at all, the only downside is you get no tuning versatility, but that not to much of a problem for me. this is my second guitar with a floyd so yeah, im very familiar with the system, and have to say its actually more complicated then some thing, but also easy to understand.
and yeah, now that i pay attention to the newer models actual tone, before people use pedals and shit, i can hear the difference,

@adrinhxc yea I know but my next guitar will probably not have a floyd since I've really got no decent guitar for other tunings at all :L I'm probably not gonna buy anything for several years, but the guitar I'm quite interested in is the ESP LTD MH-1000nt in Sunburst with the Duncans. Either that or the Schecter Hellraiser C-1 but apparantly that's got a thicker neck which with the stuff I'm learning and will hopefully continue to play at higher levels is a bit of a downside...

haha are you plugging the boss me-50 in direct or running it through an amp? i have the same thing, the distortion is very... electronic sounding haha. the only time i get a good sound is out of my marshall hybrid. if you find out how to get it to sound a little more high end, like EQs or something lemme know.

I have a tip for you.
You'd do this song a lot better if you used the trem a lot more.
Also that tone sounds really fuzzboxy, not very smooth.

@brandymalmsteen With his guitar and I don't know if you own this model but vibrato on that guitar is really hard because of the floating the trem system. @1:20-1:30 you can hear it but again that guitar is really hard to get any "feel". Maybe its just my guitar I own the same one and mine is just a nightmare to restring :P

@bolvack:- dude i've been playing one year and I'm play Steve Vai and Joe Satriani stuff, not the incredibly hard stuff they've done but some of it like Lotus Feet, For the Love of god, always with me, always with you. It's not that hard if you actually have the enthusiam to play everyday for 5 hours+.
