Hopefully Latavia has found some peace. This video is pretty old. I'd love for her to move on as well. However, the other girls in the group "progress/success" isn't an indication that Latavia is lacking in life. There's a lot of compromising in the music industry, maybe God was trying to keep her away from that. Also, 10 years is how long it's been since she left the group. Maybe the situation didn't' sink in until 5 or so years ago. Everyone handles their pain differently.

Well, the problem wasn't Beyonce...the problem was Beyonce's DAD. Had anyone else been the manager, ALL MEMBERS of the group would have been more vocal. I don't understand why Matthew Knowles didn't just put his daughter up without the backgroud singers, because in the end, that's all these girls were treated like....mere background singers instead of a group. I dont think anyone of us here can say who it was or who it wasnt because people are different in public than they are in private. While Bey is quiet and graceful in public, she could very well be the biggest beyotch you can ever cross in private. The same holds true for all the others. But, I would venture to say that Matt Knowles would be the culprit of the statement. She just put in a way to keep her from breeching the agreement to stay mum on what really went down and who did what.
I feel for her but at some point you got to pick yourself up and keep it moving. LeToya is a great example of that. They got kicked out at the same time, yet LeToya has continued a career and still walks red carpets. If she wants to revive her career, she has to make an effort; and I don't think a one woman show is the way to go. That won't hold interest. She needs to cut an album or at least start off doing hooks on a hot rapper's single, someone like Drake or Wayne. That'll bring her back..

One in particular always stood out the most to me: LaTavia & LeToya did not have powerful enough voices for the group. When I heard that, my first thought was "That's Bulls@#!" I was quite surprised how Columbia has and still in promoting "4" WITHOUT Beyonce involved. There was a huge tour, or huge hit singles--but Columbia managed to released 7 singles / videos and had an early pregnant artist do 4 shows (without a whole lotta time to prepare) for a later released DVD. And her cd has managed to sell 980,000 copies. Looks like Columbia Records know how to do wonders!

980,00 copies of as cd is a large nuber - however "4" is Beyonce's lowest selling cd to date. If and when Beyonce's besides to tour again ( I think she wont this cd) sales will sure to pick up. I think she continue to take a long break and focus on a new cd in about 2 years.
@shakemyseansean The issue I have with "4" is that the sound of the cd is faux vintage late 70"s, and 80's r/b sound. There are elements of hip hop, soul, rock, world music, and pop to make the cd sounds "current". However if I was interested in 80's music I would have listened to Sade, Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson or Teena Maria. I am not interested in that cd.

To all the people who are hating on Latavia, the music industry was very different in the late 90's than it is now. Wasn't all these mixed tapes, twitter, facebook, etc. Networking was a lot more difficult back then and being kicked out of a group like DC wouldn't exactly depict you in a positive light. Anyone who have ever put in the rehearsal hours, practice, travel, and the grind that is part of being in a music group would better understand what type of blow this is to Latavia...
See... smoking, drinking, and recreational drug use can send you into a deep or spareatic depression down the wrong path and lead to a husky voice. ;-)

Hopefully Latavia has found some peace. This video is pretty old. I'd love for her to move on as well. However, the other girls in the group "progress/success" isn't an indication that Latavia is lacking in life. There's a lot of compromising in the music industry, maybe God was trying to keep her away from that. Also, 10 years is how long it's been since she left the group. I feel for her but at some point you got to pick yourself up and keep it moving. LeToya is a great example of that. They got kicked out at the same time, yet LeToya has continued a career and still walks red carpets. If she wants to revive her career, she has to make an effort; and I don't think a one woman show is the way to go. That won't hold interest. I was quite surprised how Columbia has and still in promoting "4" WITHOUT Beyonce involved. There was a huge tour, or huge hit singles--but Columbia managed to released 7 singles / videos and had an early pregnant artist do 4 shows (without a whole lotta time to prepare) for a later released DVD. And her cd has managed to sell 980,000 copies. Looks like Columbia Records know how to do wonders!

Kelly back in the day always dissed LaTavia and LeToya. She thought she was so hot cause she was still in DC and on Columbia Records. She kissed the Knowles ass all these years and what did it get HER? Nothing...still a poor career and still shitty and low selling cd's.

As far as comments about the cd "4"....I thought the initial 3 singles were BLAND. I like "The Best Thing I Never Had"..however that beat sounds familiar, like something i heard before. The later follow up singles, "Countdwon", "Love On Top", "Party" and "Dance For Me'....didnt care for those either. Beyonce's cd just ddidnt spark ANY INTEREST this time.

@mcoordinator The problem with the lack of success have little to do with Beyonce or Columbia Records. lol Its just that there wasnt a "spark" like "I Am Sasha Fierce"..Plus it was too much background drama - Kelly and Michelle had both sperately fired Mathew Knowles and were both dropped from Columbia and later Beyonce fired Mathew. Plus "Girls - Who Run The World" was a major flop. There is nothing that can top "I Am Sasha Fierce".

980,00 copies of as cd is a large nuber - however "4" is Beyonce's lowest selling cd to date. If and when Beyonce's besides to tour again ( I think she wont this cd) sales will sure to pick up. I think she continue to take a long break and focus on a new cd in about 2 years.

@shakemyseansean The issue I have with "4" is that the sound of the cd is faux vintage late 70"s, and 80's r/b sound. There are elements of hip hop, soul, rock, world music, and pop to make the cd sounds "current". However if I was interested in 80's music I would have listened to Sade, Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson or Teena Maria. I am not interested in that cd.

Run the World didn't have the same WOW actor that Single ladies did. plus there were almost zero hot, catchy songs that people wanted to get into.

So yes i dont have no interest or desire to purchase the cd "4". The other singles that were intially released, "Best Thing I Never Had" and "1+1" ...didnt care of those songs either.

She performed 1+1 in the summer on american idol, lets be honest, who wants to hear a slooowww love song during the summer? Part of the reason for the failure of '4" was the single choice. another was the fact that it leaked almost a month before it was officially released.

To all the people who are hating on Latavia, the music industry was very different in the late 90's than it is now. Wasn't all these mixed tapes, twitter, facebook, etc. Networking was a lot more difficult back then and being kicked out of a group like DC wouldn't exactly depict you in a positive light. Anyone who have ever put in the rehearsal hours, practice, travel, and the grind that is part of being in a music group would better understand what type of blow this is to Latavia...
