  • @nammikrans God wasn't testing Abraham to see what Abraham would do. God tests us for our sake, as a way of stretching our faith so we'll know what God will do- just as God provided a substitution sacrifice for Abraham.

"For you know when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow." -James 1:3

The whole scene of Abraham and Issac was also a acting as a prophecy foretelling the sacrifice God would later provide with his son Jesus.

  • Question: "Did Jephthah sacrifice his daughter to the Lord?"

Yes! 11:39 directly states that 'he did as he had vowed'. What else had he vowed? Nowhere does the Bible say that this is a mistake or foolish or something YHWH disagreed with. Wouldn't a KING of Israel who had the 'spirit of the Lord' upon him know better if Jehovah accepted human sacrifice than some 21st century Evangelical? Scriptures? The Bible says different things in different places because it was written by many men.

  • Whatever the case, God had specifically forbidden offering human sacrifices, so God never would have wanted Jephthah to sacrifice his daughter (Leviticus 20:1-5). Jeremiah 7:31, 19:5, and 32:35 clearly indicate that the idea of human sacrifice has "never even entered God's mind." Jephthah serves as an example for us, not to make foolish vows or oaths.

  • @suutje80

Thanks for your comments. I have been preaching this. How is it YWHW forbids murder in Gen9 and in Gen22 he commands a man to kill and burn his second son?We are NOT to learn the way of the heathen and child sacrifice as he hates it,Deu12:30-31,but then he commands it.

Abram should have told demonic voice,"Get behind me Satan.God has forbidden murder, burning children and I will NOT." This would have been the righteous thing to do.Instead,Abram disobeys and attempts murder.

  • The Bible never specifically tells us whether Jephthah actually sacrificed his daughter as a burnt offering. Judges 11:39 seems to indicate that he did, "he did to her as he had vowed." However, since his daughter was mourning the fact that she would never marry instead of mourning that she was about to die (Judges 11:37-37), possibly indicates that Jephthah gave her to the tabernacle as a servant instead of sacrificing her.

  • Question: "Did Jephthah sacrifice his daughter to the Lord?"

Answer: A judge of Israel, Jephthah, had made a foolish vow to the Lord that if God gave him victory in battle, he would sacrifice whatever first came out of his door when he came home (Judges 11:30-31). Jephthah’s daughter was the first thing to come of out his door when he came home (Judges 11:34).

  • This is so Much Bullshit !! Does that sound like the God of Jesus ?!! Hell NO!! If I was Abraham I would have said ,,, OK You Extraterrestrial Asso drop the Microphone and show yourself because my Real God would never ask this of me !! This is an Outright LIE !! Another ugly lie that should be removed from the bible ! Extraterrestrials have been fucking with our religions for thousands of years and probably laughing about it !! WAKE UP PEOPLE ! One mans ET is another mans God! ha ha ha !

  • Why did Abraham do that which would fulfill a promise that through Isaac all the world will be blessed?

"Man (Adam) appointed (Seth) fatal injury (Enosh), the promised one (Cainan). Praise God (Mahalalel), he shall descend (Jared) teaching (Enoch) his death shall bring (Methuselah) the despairing (Lamech) comfort (Noah)."

Because Abraham knew God classically conditioned (stimulus paired) a sacrifice with the words, "The seed of the woman will bruise the serpent." It never was about an animal.

  • @ReligionOfSacrifice

Religion of a wicked blood thirsty unforgiving god who will torment you throughout eternity if you do not love him or believe he exist or even ever heard of him.LMFAO.

  • @thedagonjones, I don't believe in the god you describe. Mainly because there is only one verse in the whole Bible about eternal torment and that is in Revelation 20:10 on the judgement of Satan. Humans have not eaten of a tree to live forever so I assume according to the Bible their end is hell such that both the second body and soul perish and live no more according to Matthew 10:28.

I've heard of a god like you describe, but have no evidence for him.

  • @ReligionOfSacrifice

Most christians have heard of him, worship him, pretend to drink blood to him and will kill and torture to him.

  • @thedagonjones, I suppose if you are crazy and ignore history you can justify that dumb statement. In less than one hundred years from the death of Muhammed Islam had entered into India, Pakistan, Turkey, Jerusalem, all of north Africa, Spain, and France. The response to this was crusades. In 1066 A.D. Muslims in Granada, Spain slaughtered 4,000 Jews in one day and crucified the Jewish vizier of the city. In response to that was the Spanish Inquisition.

    PART TWO NEXT

  • PART TWO:

The origins of Christian war and slaughter was the Sabean Christians who linked themselves to Justinian II to kill people throughout the Middle East, but they were doing that before they became Christians. Sabeans are in Job 1:15 slaughtering the righteous.

Sabean means "destroy the begotten of the Mighty One"

    PART THREE NEXT

  • PART THREE:

Sabeans are in Job 1:15 slaughtering the righteous. Muhammed sent the earliest Muslims to Sabean Churches in Ethiopia prior to any persecution in Mecca because they desired to understand Muhammed's new religion as they were dictating it from a far as they always do. Sabeans worship the moon (the lesser light ruling over darkness) which is now over every mosque in the world.

Sabeans wrote to Rome & Alexandria to understand, get in good graces with, and corrupt the church.

  • @ReligionOfSacrifice

That is a huge chunk of bullshit.Job is considered the oldest book.Islam was invented in the 7th century. It was created by the founders of chrisitianity,Rome,to attack Jews so then Rome could march in and declare Jeruselem theirs unopposed.

You are severely lacking knowledge. You are rebuked by the blood of Jesus who's mother was raped by YWHW when she was 13 and engaged. This bastard was used by Rome to create submissive people who pay taxes.LMFAO fool.

  • @thedagonjones, Correct. Cush called his son Seba (father of Sabeans) which means "destroy the begotten of the Mighty" back in Genesis 10 which is before Job and Abraham.

The lineage brings forth Nimrod who's called a son of Cush even though he is not in the original list of sons of Cush. Nimrod is thus being lift up above his fathers due to fulfilling the killing of the righteous while making the nation state of Shinar. Enter in Job 1:15 for further proof of hatred of righteous.

  • @thedagonjones, You honestly can't figure out that people called Sabeans stamping a moon (lesser light ruling over darkness) on their coinage prior to Christianity, during supposed Christianity (slaughtering humans with Justinian II, writing letters to Rome & Alexandria, & receiving the earliest Muslim converts from Mecca before expulsion of Muhammed from Mecca), & immediately after converting to Islam (still stamping that moon you see over every mosque in the world) are wicked?

  • @thedagonjones, Why does Muhammed praise 3 people: Sabeans, Christians, & Jews? Why then immediately after call Christians worthy of hell if they don't desist from calling Jesus the Son of God (key to being a Christian) which makes them equal to a polytheist? Why does he afterwards say all Jews will burn in hell for their many historical back slidings & in the end of time all Muslims will be called to slaughter off every last Jew on Earth? No issue for Sabeans killing in Job 1:15.

  • erroneous video. This made people misinterpret God.

  • ..this video mUst have shown hOw God prevented Isaac from being Sacrificed since it is just a test..

  • well, it is fOr God's glory to be displAyed. remember the stOry of JOb? God had made Job suffer.. IT WAS TO PROVE TO SATAN THAT JOB IS STILL FAITHFUL EVEN WITHOUT WEALTH. bUt of course, God knows (for He is "all knowing" GOD) that Job is faithful. And this goes for Abraham as well., :)

  • Disgusting story. What a sick lot those christians are.

  • So the "All Knowing God" still had to test Abraham to make sure he would obey him.

    .......anything wrong with that picture?

not to mention -- if a spirit or a voice from the sky - even if you KNEW it was God - told you to murder your son, would YOU do it?

  • From all of the wacko myths in the bible this one tops all of them. This dude would SO in jail today for attempting to murder his own son because "god told him". So hard to believe that people still in the 21st century admires this kind of myth. The very fact that they believe and admire this gets them closer to the primitive man... closer to the monkeys.

  • ...And of course you can continue living in your little bubble of fantasy and away from reality and remove my comment.

  • @101baztardo101 Not quite the worst, the story of Jephthah's daughter is worse. As a sacrifice to the same God he actually burns his only daughter, some loving God!

  • He's omnipotent but he wants to "test" this poor father's faith? And that's considered a loving benevolent god, huh? I think I can do without that type of loving benevolency! Thanks anyway!

  • This story is depicted much better in the 2009 feature film, "The God Complex," which can be found here on youtube
