i ve been seeing him so many times! i always wondered what the guy was doing because i wasnt able to read the sign in hindi. now i have to say: respect baba!
Ive always wondered since past year i guess....about why is this man standing. But never spared the time to ask him myself. You people brought this to everyone's notice..... Good work done. Cheers.
I used to see this guy everyday at Juhu circle when I was in Mumbai. Often thought of talking to him and finiding out more about his life. Glad u made this film Harshvir. Thanks. :)
@surd12 Buddy.. Glad to see you've taken the initiative to capture this man's message of peace, harmony and love. Unity is something that is always questioned, especially in our country. You've got a good story, and one that should be shared with a global audience. :)
By entering the competition - indiais.org - besides winning cash prizes, there are some crazy cool cameras + more to be won. Immense exposure for your short video and it's story. Do consider entering the competition. Very easy!
It doesn't matter whether you're religious or not. Just don't do harm to any other living being. That's the essence of everything . There's no need to dissect, prod or philosophy. It is what it is.
@bonocox1 If he did, then why would his message be, 'Follow your religion,' when there are religions that specifically mandate hatred against non-believers?
@uknichu yeah, there's religions that mandate slave ownership and incest too. but, both those things are illegal in modern society. the important thing is, that he says, 'love everyone.' and that includes non-believers. so there you go. i'm a non-believer myself, and i've had conversations with him about atheism, and he has a great deal of respect for the idea of atheism/agnosticism. just stop by and talk to him the next time you're passing the signal. :)
@bonocox1 "there's religions that mandate slave ownership and incest too." All the more reason to not follow your religion, don't you think? He could have just went with, 'love everyone,' but he had to include, 'follow your religion.' For billions of people, these are two conflicting messages as their religions mandate hatred against non-believers.
@uknichu dude, why would you choose to completely disregard the rest of my comment? and why would you judge someone without ever meeting them? that's the kind of thing religious extremists do. you see, extremism is the problem. being religious or otherwise, at it's most extreme could cause people to do horrible things. being nice and realizing our full potential with or without religion could liberate us as people. anyway, man. i don't want to get into a YouTube debate. have a nice day! :)
@bonocox1 I didn't. you would have noticed that if you had read my comment completely.
"why would you judge someone"
There is a difference between judging someone and commenting on what someone is saying. I have done the latter.
"extremism is the problem."
Actually religion is the problem. You only need look as far as the scriptures to know this. Religious moderation is the cesspool for religious extremism. Only religion can make good people do bad things.
i would smile at this guy and he'd smile back every time and urge me to the read the placard i n his hand. this is the least he deserves. well done :)
I have often seem him and have been very curious about him. Am happy to see this video and know more about him. It is people like him who just go out and do what they feel needs to be done that bring hope to this world

What a guy.....no matter how torrential the rain is....he will wait for it to stop....so that he can get back to his junction....and spread his thought ! :D
That is one line for all naysayers who look for dramatic changes based on any good act as if this is a movie and not real life.
That fact that he influenced at least a few people is good enough as they may in turn pass on that feeling, affecting the well being of the society in the long run.
yes Siva.. i agree with you! awesome video. Juhu Circle is always blocked with heavy traffic.. and I'm often stressed and frustrated. But then i see this man.. with that perpetual smile on his face.. spreading non-communal love. I can't help but smile back at him! It makes my day!
I can't believe I haven't seen this one. Amazingly done guys. Big up to Harshvir, Karunesh, Achint and the rest of the guys associated with this short.
Good stuff! After seeing him the 1st time I was looking out for him the 2nd time I passed the junction. He always brings a smile to my face & I hope people inculcate the message he propagates!
HE always brings a smile to my face when I pass by, and if all he achieves is to make people smile, it is a great feat in this stressful city where a smile is so rare.
For months I asked me what he wanted he always said no even to water, then last monsoon I asked him if I could get him a raincoat and he said only if it is white :-) So happy to see him in the raincoat in this clip.
Very nicely shot, sleek editing and a subject which will talk to people!! Great stuff !!
i see this man virtually every alternate day when I pass by the circle and my initial reaction was to laugh at him and eventually ignore him! but this is perspective i never thought of! nicely captured and pieced together. I think i i now #respect the man. And am grateful to the makers of the video.
very well captured, edited and presented. very impressive. keep up the good work. its good to see people capturing the goodness and spreading it around. You perfectly translated this simple mans message to a global audience. Bravo
I have seen Him many times and always thought very highly of Him .. His message is simple, His smile is infectious and His method of giving the message is amazing. Thanks for making this film and uploading it :)
WOW is the word . beautifully made , simple yet puts the message across . good time watching it , will look out for this guy next time i am around , you ve given him an identity . :)
but this mystery man did.. coz the first thing i asked to myself was ..why is he doing this? followed by ..what am i doing! after that everytime i would pass juhu circle..i would look out for him... playing a game to figure his act..only to keep my soul searching..
hmm.. interesting!! question is does the act of documenting something might dilute the cause? i remember the first time i saw krishnadas..it had a huge impact on my soul..rarely does one sight captures u and makes u question urself or the functioning of the society.
great work man, Im a film student in san francisco, but originally from bombay i remember this guy holding his banner at juhu circle a number of times from my last visit. Loved it. I'd like to collaborate sometime with you and others involved in making this documentary. Keep up the good work.
"Jan Jagruti Chahiye!" Simple Provoking Thought - Simple Provoking actions.
There are two people who do such things. 1 is him, the other is a devotee from ISKON, Mumbai. No one has guts to do what they both do. I have seen few who look at him & giggle but immediately, I laughed at those few.
We all have a pen, paper, computer / laptop, communication power, multimedia handsets, web 2.0 technology, social media platforms... (list wud be really long) but look what tool this man is using!
I wonder if the people who are interviewed in this video have ever bothered to implement on the message shared by Krishnadas. Yeh Mumbai hai meri jaan... people die on roadside and no one bothers to give a second look.
