I like his version of this better than GC's, but GC's wish it would rain was one of the best EVER. Woodson used to kill this track...I love his performance most of all. And of course, Ruffin laid the foundation, so he need a damn lot of credit.
Bruce does a very good job with this song -- which is not the easiest to perform. Of all the guys I've heard tackle it, I'd rank him ahead of Henderson, Street, Price and Edwards, tied with Cameron, and only trailing Woodson and Ruffin.

I think after David, Dennis ranks #2 on leading this. That's MY OPINION, but of course we all have our own thoughts and beliefs about it.
