@106384 Stevens and Musser grip are the same. I use the Burton Grip, because I learned Burton first. I can play Stevens as well. I suggest learning both, because you never know if at an audition they will ask you to play both!
During the triplet section start out quiet and kind of slow, then get louder and a little faster. Finally know this song so well that you can close your eyes and visualize the marimba and see every note in your mind. With this song i can actually play it without looking! One time during S&E, without realizing it, I looked up during my piece at the judge and he just happened to look up at the same time I just smiled at him and he started laughing a little! Like i said, just have fun with it!
Nice job...I played this for Solo And Ensemble this year. The only thing I would suggest is working a little on your accuracy...there were times when it didn't flow as well as it could have...i can't tell what grip you are using, but it seems to work well for you...musically, i would start a little slower on the upper triplets and slowly get faster as you move down
Thank you for your comment! I really appreciate it! My brother actually played this to get his scholorship last year, then I went and played it for PAS. haha I'm 4 years younger than him!
What kind of mallets are you using? They make the amazing song sound horrible!
Watch out in the beginning!

Overall really good but the last octave notes you play are really flammy and not hit at the same time.
