What causes inflation? Printing money and then lending

it out at interest, how will that reduce the debt? The debt

will simply be postponed. Also, prices rise when retailers

raise prices. It is not the result of a bidding war that

consumers engage in with retailers, for that would cause

prices to fall. Rising costs, due to say interest

rate hikes, or energy costs, drive prices higher, and lead

to less money to pay debts.
