My husband and I saw the same thing July 2011 over lake Erie.

It was about 3am or so.

we watched it for about 20 min... Then the light went dim and the craft blasted off really fast!!!! So fast that it left a tail of light behind :S it was weird!!

OMG this is unbelievable!! Funny because my nephew and I believe in ufo's and are always looking to the sky. Someone mentioned to me to "watch the stars"! We just did that earlier and i'm telling you it started to scare me! There really were moving objects in the sky that can be mistaken as a star!

Lake Erie Is Very active I belive it more then ever now. I seen 1 June 13 at 11:10 pm and it took my breath away Im buyin a camcorder so my Family will see them I'll never forget it cause notin can zigzag and stop and hover like that it was checkin out a boat on the horizion then took off so fast over to Simco towers of lake Erie Im on the Canadian side at a Place Called Feather stone point I got out of there cause I didnot want it to come visit me closer!!! This could be easily faked. A moon image and Microsoft (tm) Windows Movie Maker (tm) were enough. Film the result by a hendheld cam from a screen and you have it. And, as usual, no additional information is provided.

I have heard that if you take a laser pointer and shine it at the lights they will come in closer to your location. Have you ever tried it and did it work?

Why are there the same sounds, That is pretty simple, The video's were shot at the same location, Lake Erie, If you take the exact same camera to the same location on a beach in front of the same lake, perhaps the sound might be a little similar ya think?

this could be lights reflecting off the waters. there was a study and was proven positive that light can reflect of big lakes and to make it appear that there is something in the sky. It happened in Chicago once before and it was coming from a city somewhere in Michigan. I would go as far as to say this is a same senerio of such. I do live near Lake Erie and frequent the lake alot as a advid walleye fisherman and would be really cool to see something like this on the lake

The moon with the reddish tint certainly is eerie, those are definately NOT planes, and every single satelite I've ever seen moves methodically across the sky, not at the pace of a star. Mars had been very close to the Moon in recent week, the big one could be Mars. The one that blinked out definately NOT mars or a star or satelite or plane.

As I said be4 , take the video slider and move it slowly from left to right and you will notice that the 1 in the center moves right and then at the mid-end video it goes down, that its not a satellite. I will say though that the light at the bottom maybe a satellite, but the center light is not.

I understand what ur saying, and yes I DO watch the sky often using my telescope, and after 4:30am AST most satellites going overhead can be seen. What i say they dont disappear and apper is that when they DO disappear they dont just pop up again at the same spot and stay there for more than a minute. If they where satellites they would NOT turn left or right as they are in this video.

are you stupid??? those are obviously three airplanes. I have been on Lake Erie in Cleveland area. You will see similar light patterns EVERY night for crying out loud. There is an airport downtown (Burke), plus planes going to Hopkins fly over downtown. For those who are really ignorant, when an airplane is flying directly toward you, you will see its "headlights" shining at you. Keep in mind also that the video is only a minute long. I have lost respect for wired news for linking this.

The same kind of phenomena has been seen quite recently over Lake Ontario near Hamilton, and was quite amazing to see. Whatever this is, it isn't aircraft traffic. There are a group of folks further down the lake who have been running a sky vigil for some time watching similar lights. I have seen them on a few occasions and have made reports. Nice steady video, well done.

Those calling it anything related to aircraft are not familiar with this phenomena. I live on approach to 3 major and a couple minor airports and did as a child also. These, if conventional aircraft where modified (unlikely). But as UFOs looks real. Many corroborated and verry similar videos just like this, and I have no evidence from watching this it is anything conventional. Good vid.

This in Eastlake, Ohio. If these aircraft are flying towards Eastlake then we can only find two destinations, Lost Nation Municipal Airport and Cuyahoga County Airport. Neither of these airports look the part for what would be obviously BIG planes on approach. If these aircraft were coming in to Cleveland Airport they would be seen and video's all the time. Plus all planes have manditory FAA "blinking" lights, These are single orbs, and one just appears out of nowhere, try again.
