It's a shame I don't live in these areas, because my telescope, which is just a basic portable skywatcher with camera, could easily zoom and take a closeup of most phenomena in our solar system--let alone a flying object within our own atmosphere. Does anyone have any video or pictures from their own telescopes that would shed light on these cell phone or conventional camera pictures? As they are, they could be anything.

If there were aliens, they would have known about us since the first spark gap transmissions (wireless telegraphy), late 1800s.
Human scientists can tell if transmissions are random or intelligent, certainly the aliens could, if they exist.

Ahh, but remember that the closest star system (Alpha Centauri) is 4.3 light years away. And it's almost guaranteed to be uninhabited due to statistical proximity. So it would probably be unmonitored.
You have to consider lightyears and the probable scarcity of space faring intelligent life. Even the strongest radio signals can only travel so fast.
remember, I don't believe with any degree of certitude.
I like to regard the phenomenon as more of a thought experiment, most of the time.

The only reason to kill us all is to take our planets resources, so why wait 50 years or longer as we slowly consume and ruin the planet? They're watching us, like you might watch an ant farm. out of curiosity.

I have to say that I hope UFOs are real. It would mean that there is more to this universe then the mundane existence that we are exposed to. I think it's unlikely they would be hostel. With technology that they "seem" to have, it's clear they are educated. In my experience, educated ppl are often more tolerant and understanding of others. I think other beings would be similar. Besides, why would they fly billions of light-years just to blow up our asses.

I asked the CSET team, and they did NOT vector in the disk that was seen.
