  • Hello I want to be a pilot but do you need spot on grades or just over avaerage?and congratulations!!!!!!! Enjoy it while it lasts.

  • It's not a dream anymore like the old days. It's just a career with a very limited amount of spaces. Remember only a limited amount of commercial aircraft were built

  • How much do i need to pay for this course? (in western australia)

  • I want to work for COA.

    Continental Airlines.

I'm 17 and I flew my first solo already. Almost there for crosscountry.

  • Arab music? lol.

  • why fly for a shit middle east airline?

    all terrorists airways.........LOL

  • go be a doctor, then you can afford to fly. dont do it as a job. The whole problem is people like you spending 100k to get a 20k job.

    stupid.

  • I'm 14 and I hope that the air Commercial industry will improve by the time i become a pilot

  • if you're from a rich family or have plenty of moeny that should help. Many pilots have often come from other work areas like doctors and teachers e.t.c. I would generally of thought you would need to show some kind of profesionalism in other areas and not just get you're flying traing although maybe you could just go the flying route as flying itself is a profession and there is no reason why somebody should not dedicate there entire life to that and that should demostrate worthiness

  • I like how he said ''And I will be like thsse guys'' and I agree Dream On!

    Btw How old are you?

  • i wanna be a pilot for etihad too :)

  • dont listen to anyone man, no on can say u cant do it there is no such as thing a person cant do. I speak to Airline pilots sometimes and they say in short term could be waste of but long term is worth it. Just keep working hard and u will get there. See you on the sky:):)

  • I would like to wish u good luck and clear skies on your journey to becoming a pilot. I am also working on becoming a pilot btw at only 15 yrs old. On a side note when u become qualified to be an airline pilot please don't fly for Iraqi air go for a bigger airline like emirates, Qatar, or etihad.

  • (((Fetufab))) what are you talking about? if u know nothing about aviation I suggest you keep your mouth zip okay! there are still shortage of pilots around the world especially Middle East and asia countries and there will be in the future.Do your homework before u talk mate.

  • how many of the iraqi planes are left? if any

  • Please don't be dissapointed upon reaching your dream. Remember Its just a JOB like any other, and has it advantages & disadvantages. Just remember there are more grummpy old divorced and broke pilots out there than happy pilots. Don't let your dream blur reality, as you'll be very dissapointed.

  • I hope your first job as an F.O. pays more than 20k a year.

in the US they pay as little as 16k a year with top pay as an F.O being only 32K (after 6 years). (An average time to be a Captain is about 3 to 4 years if you are lucky).

    Good luck on your career.

  • keep flying broo...and always remember, safety comes 1st..and u'll be an airliners 1 day and o need a long time to be one coz i've experienced it myself..i finished in flying school on december and i worked in airline on feburary.. Aim High broo..

  • hey I also wanted to be a pilot and was filling out the application form for the RAF. Unfortunately I have mild symptoms of asthma and was not allowed to complete the form. now I have to let my dream go. I keep thinking of it and I can't handle it

  • i absolutely know how you feel dude.

  • @vixpatel1991 asthma wont stop you from flying for a living mate, just forget about the forces.

  • lol people are saying good luck and the vid was posted in 2006. but anyway nice work! i live in sydney and im going to become a pilot in 3 years when i leave school

  • Just wathing your video. You have the two things I dream of the most, you live in Australia and you are becomming a pilot. I wish you all the best.

  • GREAT VIDEO AND BEST OF LUCK!!!! :) cya in the skies :)

  • good luck dude. I don't know if I would go for those airlines if I were you but that's your choice. Have fun though!

  • Good luck, wish u d best........

  • Emirates

  • Comment removed

  • If u join da airforce do u automaticly fly fighter jets?

  • Well in RAF there are lots of different flying jobs (ie fighters, helicopters etc.) and there is also a lot of competition, so no

  • No. First, you need amazing grades and a very high class ranking. Extremely Competitive! After that, about 11 years of service is required after you join the military to pay off all of the flight training.

  • no you fly cessna 150 entire life

  • In the U.S. no. you can fly fighter jets only if you have 20/20 vision. and on top of that, only 4% of the USAF is actually pilots. the rest are meteorologists and engineers.

You can also fly choppers, but you can do that in all branches: Navy, Air Force, Marines, ARMY which has the most aircraft of all branches.

and of course you can fly the bombers/cargo ships from B-2 spirits to C-130 (20/20 required with or without glasses)

Its a cool job cuz at the end of the day, what do you do? U FLY!

  • mate my dream is to be an air line pilot ! am in Canada and there r some good schools here ! but am 22 and am afraid am a little late ! ! I really love flying but in order to get the commercial license I have to take a loan of 40.000$ and If I won't get a job to pay back my dept I will b in a big trouble ! any tips plz ?

  • Join the airforce

  • I've tried that ! but ! I have to be a Canadian citizen first !! well am a permanent resident so I have to wait 2 more yrs !! but its a good Idea cuz I served in the Military for a year before :( any way thx for the tip :D

  • Sounds like some Turkish song.

  • Arabian/Iraqi i don't know!

  • Pleasse can I have the title of the song :)

  • I would think its going to be a long road before Qualification, then how long before its just a job,up very early in the morning to haul holidaymakers out to,wherever Aussies go on hols, overnight stays in budget hotels, hauling another load back,

    just routine after a while.

You should have tried the law or medicine.

  • Thats one of the things to why I want to be a pilot. To experience the world and because I love aviation, flying and planes.

  • people like you r so ignorant plz tell me how traveling to different cities everyday traveling to different countries every week is anyway routine....

  • first off you spelled hauls wrong. second you dont always stay in budget hotels. I have stayed at very nice hotels before and there has been pilots coming in for an overnight. And no it dosent get routine. one day you could be flying in perfect beautiful skies. and the next you could be flying into a cold front with heavy turbulence. In this job you cannot allow yourself to think that everything is going to be the same day in and day out because it wont.

  • Dream on!

  • I know its hard... but well... nothing easy

  • hi , i am 14 years old and i want to be an airline pilot, and i am looking schools. Where did you studied??

    thanks.

    good video

and personal i like emirates better than any other airline.

    lol

  • You live in UAE?

  • Nope, Australia.

  • Join the club! lol.. just recently I was speaking to the head of human resources for Emirates and she told me that they have over 200 applicants per day!

A mate of mine was lucky enough to become a pilot, now captain for the A380, previously flew A340 and 767 for emirates

  • lucky mate you've got there, if it just was me ;P

  • before you start dreaming, learn to spell mate.

  • Where abouts do you live?

  • Emirates are great, better than Etihad in my opinion. Flew with them twice from Manchester - Sydney

  • it is much better i fly for them EK002 much bettter benefits

  • if u live in Brisbane Australia there is a high school called "aviation high" they have links with Qantas, Virgin Blue and other Aerospace oppotunities

  • I like the music

  • men i wishe all the lucky u wiil need

to become a pilot because i really want to become a pilot i never stoped dreaming of flying since i was juct 5 years old

  • i wanted to become a commercial pilot but unfortunately i cant affort is there ant cheap way guys.....please help me

  • You're so lucky, I'm 15 I want to become a pilot but my parents think it's dangerous..

  • It's more dangerous getting into a car. Good luck :)

  • men u have to follow your dream my parents to think its to dangerous and not cheap but dont listen to them i will follow me dream what ever happens

  • @gansters212 ME TOO!!!!!!!! FOLLOW YOUR DREAM AND YOU WON'T LOSE!!!!!!! TRUST ME!!!!! As the ancient greeks used to say....''The Persistent Wins'' !!!!!!!!!!!

  • @gansters212 i want to be a pilot as well, good luck for both of us. :-)

  • Jandakot Airport - great airport to fly out to, but very busy, and that's coming from someone who flies out of Bankstown! :)

Looking forward to seeing you in the skies one day, look out for VH-ADI. :)

  • you made your decision to fly for what airline?

  • Good luck with your dream

  • sad song

  • cool, i'm still a student pilot :)

  • there is a lots of difference between bus driver and pilot.. hahahahaha , but thats was a good 1

  • it's a busdriver job on other levels... but you can get fired anytime, anywhere... loosing the investments. Thousands are facing to loose their job with the oncoming crisis,... also pilots and Airlines are using this crisis to reduce saleries even more. If you do it for the flying go for it, .. if you do it for the money or the atmosphere??? forget, you'll be disappointed

  • just speaking with experience in the industry it is a dead end job ,its best to get a trade first then go for it.The crippling fuel costs that hit the aviation industry recently will go even higher next time so the airlines that survive the recession could well not survive the inceased operating costs-costs that are then passed to the consumer which will make air travel more expensive and out of reach for the average person.hope Im wrong :-) all the best with your flight training!

  • dont waste your money ,there is NO pilot shortage, its a dead end job .

  • What you said about pilot shortage is true for now, in 2-3 years thing might change..

  • @WillBePilot fly for the love not the money

  • @fetufab not anymore! in North America we are seeking so many pilots..

  • @ihaveabigtv yeah thats what the pilot factories[flight schools] always say to get your hard earned cash.

  • @fetufab there are shortage of pilots around the world u dumb ass if u dont knw anythinjg dont talk u fukhead

  • @fetufab jealous? thats ur opinion

  • @leon6266 jealous? just realistic bud

  • @fetufab jealous dont talk if u dont know jack shit

  • @fetufab if u dont know shit dont talk, middle east is growing and they need pilots to fly them.

  • @leon6266 go on waste all that money and work hard towards a non existent job

  • @fetufab jealous? thats your opinion mate. Aviation is growing around the world. Dont talk if you dont know jack shit, dumb ass

  • @leon6266 got a commercial?atpl's?,professional pilot?I didnt think so. Your right its just my opinion pal.If I could do things over I would do well in buisness or the professions and buy my own plane and go flying when I feel like it, not when some prick rosters me to .

  • @leon6266 high speed rail is growing, not aviaton. Unless you want to make 20,000/yr for the rest of your life.

  • @Bill1275w just because you cannot do it it doesnt mean others cannot. jealous. Thats ur opinion by the way aviation will be growing especially middle east. Do some research before u talk

  • @fetufab just because you cannot do it it doesnt mean others cannot. jealous cunt

  • @leon6266 Ive been doing it since 1994

  • hey dude how you going with your flying career long time no hear.Well I am just started PPL pretty much enjoy it so far lol. Keep in touch

    to Laskustiveke

PPL cost about 16k Aus for ave student

    CPL about 50k

Evertually it will add up about 80k by end of all ratings.

  • Good luck to you. I myself think that Etihad and Emirates are the best airliners in the world. How much do you pay for CPL?

  • Around 50k US, or 75k AUS $

  • Just cause their Arabic?

  • No, they just have very good service and food. It's not because of the country.

I mean - Singapore and Thai Airways are also good.

  • Can you post the name of this song? I like it. Video is nice, good luck!

  • If you are an American, once you're done trainging I would recomend the military. Regional airlines pay you McD' wages and treat you like a child. Passengers consider you "second class pilots" They seem to think that bigger planes=better pilots...not the case, and yes, they will piss and moan about everything. Start to date after you've started your career, you'll figure it out later. DONT put all your eegs in one basket, ie. DONT get a degree solely in aviation try accounting, you can still fly

  • WillBePilot, if you really want to a be an airline pilot, go for it. You have a strong passsion and you'll probably love it. It can be very hard at times and you learn that later on sadly in your career but you can deal with that, great. It appears you are not in the US and will not be getting a job at a US airline, which is very important.

  • Qantas Airlines are better than american airlines

  • that is so true. AA is not great

  • This is my 5th Airline. All from being shut down, layoff, furlough or like 9.11 in New York. And every time you go to a new one...YOU START OVER at the bottom. So now the pay drops and you move back to the lowest rank and also seniority. You will work most Holidays, Birthdays, etc with alot of long days. Dont get me wrong ...THIS USE TO BE a good job. Now you are nothing more than a bus driver. With bus type people onboard.

  • What if I dont like what im doing now? I do IT and dont want to sit on desk for the rest of my life... programming, after 15 years I will be sitting with young guys just came from uni.. plus its my dream to be pilot... I understand and appreciate the time that you put here to write for me and others...

Im kind of stuck... Some pilots say go for it you will love every day of it and some pilots hates it ...

  • is it really bad as u guys say becuz i go to a high school dat haves a hanger and 5 planes and im taking flight trainning next year and if it is like u guys saying i will do something different 19k sound like a lot to me

  • knowone starts out on the top man, and if you've been flying for 14yrs and are still only making 19k then something is wrong

  • Not saying you should start out at 200K. I am stating why would anyone want to spend that kind of money to join the most watch and tested occupation for CHUMP CHANGE. Every 6 months we have to get a 1st class medical, Simulator ride, Line check, with some random FAA rides also. Not to mention everything we do is recorded.

  • dude are u serious?????... do u mind if i ask what airline u work for?

  • Most people don't even know that we don't even start to get paid until the jet pushes off the gate. So while all of you are bitching and moaning in the back about how late we are. We have yet to be paid; but still responsible for your safety while on the jet.

  • Who would want to spend near 100k to get rated for a 19k a year job to start. GET OUT OF AVIATION Get a job that allows you to own your own plane....

    I am a 14year AIrline Pilot...Benn on the B-727 MD-80 A319 A320 A321 A330 A340 and it is not all that. Please take it from me.

  • you right! too many kids just don't know what they are gettin into. keep dreamino becuz the buck150 is a long way to a boeing! i like my gig, but it's a though life. earnin abuck is hard. 100k sounds a lot though. In Canada it's around 40k.

  • where u up 2 with ur a pilot training? do you facebook because there is a guy look like you and i added you. Anyways Im starting my pilot training once a week due to lack fund I have.

    All the best bro

  • nice vidoe inshallah you will get to be wat you want

  • shlonic kif al hal nice movie I got the same dream keep up the good work

  • my profile isnt working

  • how are you doing on that dream?

  • ur so awesome bro nice to see a fellow arab youtuber becoming my dream :D

  • I have said it many times before and I will say it again, To all of you people with dreams, I salute you.

Never ever give up the hope of succeeding in what you set out to do.

Grasp it, hold it tightly, there'll be alot of sweat, but don't let that force the dream to slip out of your fingers.

For if you let it go, your dream will fade and life turn to mush.

Dreams are tough, but damn worthwhile!

Great Video and thank you very much, truly inspirational.

  • Here Here!!!!!!!!!

  • Keep going, you will love the job.

    st ATP retired

  • Many thanks !!!

  • how is it going? almost 3 years now..became an airline pilot already?

  • WHAT AIRLINE ARE U WITH IN AUSTRALIA

  • I no longer fly prof. because of a disability, I did fly for some of the Gov. officials in Minnesota, USA.

Again good luck in you goals and make sure to keep the wheels down and your head in the plane at all times. "Get Home-Itess" is a killer so never rush to get home when your fly.

    take care and good luck

  • Great Video!!!

however, Australia isn't part of ICAO is it?

  • Salam habz can you please tell me whats the song calle?

  • No offence man but how come u started ur flying late? occuring to ur youtube it says 34 I mean there are more chances getting job in major airline anyway good luck maybe one day u will be my capital on iraqi new boeing which they have ordered about 7 from Germany. By the way how did found PPL? and what are you doing now u got ur CPL

  • Anything but a US regional airline or major for that matter same work rules less money.

  • Hey there I live in Western Australia and I will be commencing my CPL soon through TAFE studies and I was curious as to what company you took your flying hours with towards your CPL currently I am looking at Jandakot Flight Centre or The Aeroplane Company and did you become an instructor or flew scenic flights to build PIC hours?

  • RACWA

  • شكرا لك عزيزي على هاذا الفلم الجميل وذكرتني بالخطوط الجويه العراقيه الحبيبه وانا كنت احد ابناءها .

  • STOP NOW!!!...If you want to live a happy life.

  • hahah. explain?

  • Yeah Explain:-)

  • congratulations on living the dream. this vid was posted in 06' so Im sure your done or almost done with training. Im going to start soon. Good luck with your career :)

  • at they end you mispelled journey! :-) but good video!

  • Thanks mate.. :-))

  • You make it i promise habibi

  • i really want to be a pilot so i could meat my family and friends.

  • meat ha ha (*meet)

  • haha oops i meant meet!!

    thnks for correcting me :)

  • wait hold on. i didn't write that!

    my brother did [he's 8 yrs old=]

  • im training for somthing quite a bit faster heh. Srpski Airforce... hell yeah!

    good luck btw.

  • good luck.. wallah I love all three(emirates, Etihad, Qatar)... insallah you will make it

  • I'd like to know you.

  • I want to be a pilot too. I have already mastered FSX

  • i want to be a pilot too i want to work in fesex or lufthansa!lol my name says all i want to do when i get my pilot license.

  • Hey how far are you along on your training as a pilot?

  • Flying for Emirates would be a great deal! I guess I could settle for UPS or FedEx though.

  • sa227fly...lol, I know some guys who went to Emirates. GREAT money, that is if you can deal with the massive authority index..."settle" for UPS or FedEx...let me know when they "settle" for hiring you, unless you're dating the COO's daughter, good luck with that..lol

  • Thanks for the comments... No im not in the USA... Again thanks for the comments... all the best..

  • yes you'r right i got 12000hrs exp 33yrs,instructor jet.

they stord my cv's at ??????????????

  • Yeah, I don't want to fly "majors." No joke about the FedEx/UPS gigs though. I'm pretty sure I was being sarcastic about "settling" with the most sought after jobs in the indusrty (can't find my post). Wouldn't mind Gulf or Emirates...would certainly consider it. It's aerial fire fighting for me all the way! SEATs or Type I tankers...

  • @PIlotrcm Sarcasm. Learn it, love it. I've decided to "settle" outside of professional aviation, though I am purchasing an airplane. Call me crazy, but getting an MBA and a good job seemed like a good idea.

  • Salam ya Akhi. I gotta say Its truly my dream to fly for Qatar Airways or Emirates. Good Video though. Good luck on the flying.

  • Salam-U-Aleikum

  • best of luck

  • nice planes over there, i only have 2 hours that i started to get my private :D

  • good luck man..

  • Absolutely agree with the guy on the 152 vs 172. I don't know about reliability, but definately more suitable for longer cross country flights...but the 150 is a loveable, great little airplane.

  • absolutely

  • fly safe ;)

  • i don't really like the C 152. sure, it's just about the simplest plane yo can possibly fly.

I prefer the C 172 Skyhawk. Much more reliable, and good for 'everyday' use. Direct from Jandakot to Albany or something. 4 seater, good little all round plane.

  • cept wen u stall, they fall out of the sky

low wing planes r better like the piper warrior

  • yeah, unfortunately. But, the Mooney Bravo doesn't do to well when IT stalls either.

  • I did my training there, 16yrs ago. and I have flown for Etihad. Good luck mate.

Did my comm test on VH TUT

  • Man Thanks for your comments...From Jandakot To Etihad sounds like a great journey ... 16 years ago... oh well... nothing much changed there man :- )

  • Salaam minn matajahar Jandakot ghal matajahar Abu Dhabi. I am not with Etihad but did some flying on contract for them. They have a lot of really nice people there.

  • you speak arabic?

  • THAT IS JANDAKOT W.A.

  • i dream about a 152!

  • haha i fly at the aero club

    im on jbx 2morrow
