  • Cody is such a sweetie pie, and SILLY! I bet the person who adopted him feels TOTALLY BLESSED!

  • You should greenscreen Cody doing this and then draw snowy mountain slopes behind him and little snow skis on his claws.

I hope he's settled into his new home and has a happy as a lark....oops, I mean, African Grey!

  • cosito used to do that when he wanted to come out of his cage, he don't do it anymore.

  • That's so cute! My Hewie does that, too, but at doors. He does do it on the bathroom rug, though, sometimes.

  • I think that to adopt burds is just like adopt a baby.. so i think that thye need to have somebuddy to have funn with thats why always when i buy burds ore adopt i always take a girl and a boy! ore NOTHING

  • I have a African grey!

  • Has Cody gone to his companion yet? I would dearly love an african grey but sadly cannot afford to purchase one.

  • Yes he has been adopted. Birds are quite expensive to own. If you have trouble with the purchase price I would not recommend one. Before I started receiving food grants I could pay out of pocket up to $500 a month food for approx. 20 birds. Then toys, cage, supplies, vet shots. It adds up.

  • Did Cody ever get adopted? I'm still looking to adopt a grey. Thanks

  • Cody has a sponsor of 4 weeks currently. We have decided that he probably needs about three - 4 more weeks with his new human companion, to be ready to go home. We are very excited.

  • Is cody still up for adoption? I'm looking to adopt a grey. Please let me know. Thanks and I love the video!

  • Cody has a sponsor at the moment. He will be coming tomorrow to visit him. Thank you for considering Cody he is a sweet bird.

  • My P.J. (AG) does that in the corner of her cage; she'll do that for 10 minutes straight....

  • The gentleman in the videos is a good example of product placement. he wears GE shirts. Walmart shirts. and some other shirt but i forget what. Pretty cool

  • Waaaait a minute...is that Kiwi on the bed too? :P

I hope Cody has enough manners to be nice to the other birdies, because I'm sure Kiwi will give him a run for his money! :D

  • Nooo only Cody in the room. :-)

  • Reaaally? Because I see a beak at :19 hanging out on the pillow.... :P

  • Not sure hun. I think your seeing things. :-D

I was behind the camera, Cody in front of me and Brad over to the right. I was playing with my fingers under the bed spread for a few minutes, but I don't even see that.

Not even once have I ever had more than one bird in my room at a time. In addition I have only had birds in my room maybe 10 times in 5 years, since I only live in two rooms, all others belonging to the sanctuary. :-) this being one of them.

  • You should teach him to skate board.

My cockatoo does that sometimes too

((Now this is a cool video))

  • What a beautiful grey. I hope Coty finds a wonderful home full of lots of love. They are great birds...very affectionate.

  • I watched this a couple of days ago, and forgot to post to it . . jeesh - he is really going to town! ! That little Cody is a jewel ~ talented, sweet, and in such good feather. It seems like half the greys in existence are plucked to some degree, including my little Pepper who only plucks her legs.

  • Aww, that is so cute, is cody still up for adoption? How did you get cody?

  • I love greys. They are so smart and cute.. I took care of one once that fell in love with an Amazon. One could imagine why that would be a problem.

  • btw,he is very beautiful.

  • What happened to his feathers in the back? Did you save him from something?

  • Cody is one of our rescues yes. His owner had several heart surgeries in one year. he was having a very hard time taking care of him and wanted him to be cared for.

  • My bird does the same thing except she'll grab her head sometimes. why do they do that anyway?

  • They are being hormonal. :-D

  • O.O Oh...

  • what a cutie. my grey gets like this if i pile the curtain up on the widow ledge for him to play in.

    you do a fantastic job.

  • I wish I lived close so I could see all the birds in the sanctuary.

  • Are you sure? Sometimes it's a mad house in here. LOL Fortunately we had 2,500 + hours of volunteer time in 2007. Without them we wouldn't exist.

  • I have 2 parakeets and I love them so much and am fascinated by birds. One day last week my husband motioned for me to quietly come and look out the window. There were 5 quaker parrots feeding in the grass. I wish i could have caught one, but then where would I put it? LoL

  • it's just as well it live free. :-)

  • No one is worse than my Amazons when it comes to hormones. (see video) ;-)

    Cody is adorable.

  • This reminds me of my baby. He loves to play on the bed when I say my evening prayers. He'll run around, "bite" random bits of bedding, rub his beak against the sheets and bedspread, and in a final act of supreme domination over the Land of Nod (bonus points if you guess which poem and poet I'm tipping my hat to), he'll climb up on my pillow and refuse to budge until I "threaten" to sleep on him. Cody looks like a gem. I hope he finds his family soon.

  • What a beautiful african grey I have a Red Lored Amazon and she is our baby very spoiled. If I would have lived closer I would so adopt him :0)

  • He is So Cute lol =P
