Hello! Congratulations for your video. I’ve got some questions for you, about the use of the right hand, and in particular I noticed that sometimes, on the eighth notes, you don’t use the alternate picking, sometimes it seems that all the eighth notes are played with the downstroke, while other times it seems to me that on the downbeat you use the upstroke (this is what creates in me a bit of confusion).
Could you give me some information about it? Are there any special rules about this?
@johntuggle hey got a question.....whats a good technique to practice bending strings.....i am no good at it at all...and i really dont wanna buy slinkys because i dont like the tone....so is there some kinda strengthing exercises i could do that you know of??
Which model 335 is that? What pickups are you usin? I'd love to get one but there seem to be a few diff types and the $ sure goes up for some of them. Great BB Lesson!
Hey John I just ordered this dvd last night, can't wait to get started on it. Im looking on your website and I see that you have a good selection of instructional dvds and Im looking to get some more. I want to learn how it all works, like what licks to play where, and over what chords. I have a great attitude towards learning guitar and I just want to be the best I can be. What dvds would you recommend for me, I want to learn how to play in the style of Clapton-Freddy King, Green, and BB King.
Very good, John. You are very good as guitarist and as instructor. Your material (selection of songs and licks, for example) is very good as well. Tranks for your help.
@johntuggle any chance you got any trey anastasio licks you'd be willing to share ? you are so spot on with these blues videos if you are familiar with phish and trey you could really teach people a lot about his very unique gutiar style
anotha clear lesson well explained man... u made it sounds easy. i guess i got practice fanks all the best this year..ps ive put a video up too!!!! im still a beginner though any advise would b great!!!
It really does help to just play a few notes like you really mean them. Players with restraint sound so good. Look at Derek Trucks. Sometimes he plays nearly nothing.
is it ni b minor pentatonic scale or major pentatonic scale ??

The only thing you need to know about bending is: DON'T PUSH THE STRING WITH YOUR FINGERS.
Keep the string pressed hard and use your WRIST to bend the string.
After this you onlt need to practice on different parts of the neck.

@slowhand633 I'm not sure if I'll do any Trey licks. His style is not one that I'm as familiar with. We'll see though. Thanks for the kind words.
