  • That's wonderful!!!

  • This music combined with the album art makes me very depressed and frightened. I don't think that's supposed to happen right?

  • Chuck Norris knows the lyrics of this song.

  • They need to have this on for 5 years in some sort of hall, like John Cage's organ piece.

  • this is not a song this is a fucking peace making yoga crap this is not a song

  • @NiteSoldier88 You'd probably die when you're listening to this while doing yoga.

  • Sooooo how? Did he loop it to make a 3.9 TB song?

  • I dont understand this.

What's the point of making a song no one will ever listen to?

  • where is part 2..?

  • @Reptilianification Who are you?

  • This would have made a pretty cool 1 minute prelude. The other 5.69999999 years are filler.

  • im curious, has anyone actually played this song for 5 years straight?

  • @4evamileyfan It was released in 2010. You do the math.

  • @Reptilianification

I love that you took forever to respond. Haha, yeah you're "45" good one! Like I said keep consistency in your identity and in what you say dipshit. Your profile says 38 and a 45 year old acts in no way like you.

Seeing that I'm using "faggot" as an insult and not as a sexual orientation (not that a stupid fuck like you would figure that out) it's not an ad-hominem attack.

Try harder shitty ass troll. Go back to the /mu/ board 4channer faggot. I'm a better troll.

  • @Reptilianification

Still have cum in your eyes to read what I'm typing? Yeah... do reject the fact that I called them drone doom metal NOT drone. Keep your head up your ass "45" year old "expert"

Shitty troll much? At least try to be consistent with your identity, you're quite dissapointing...

  • @Reptilianification

Lol, the "45" year old, oh wait is it "38"??? Yeah... the 20 something year old retard now starts making hypocritical statements about me being assumptious. How cute... resorting to my Youtube name for an ad-hominem attack, you're pathetic.

Your degree in "theory" (you are probably referring to musical theory) doesn't mean shit in music. No one gives a shit if you do or not, you are still a nobody.

  • @Reptilianification

Keep being a fucking moron, and living on a sad little life. Maybe your weren't loved enough? If so, I hope you get it, you NEED IT! I doubt anyone will love a douchebag like you.

  • @Reptilianification

Maybe cause you were giving off douchey pretentious vibes?! THAT"S IT! Also I never stated they were PURE drone, I stated that they were DRONE DOOM METAL, yeah you are fucking blind.

Also, ever heard of this thing called musical efforts and breaking musical boundaries? I'm done with you dipshit. You're head is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY up your ass, CLEARLY! I doubt you'll ever get it out.

  • @Reptilianification

LMAO, yeah I knew you weren't the person you claim to be. Fuck off hipster faggot go back to your group of other hipster faggot friends and talk about how you are superior and relevant to society when your significance means nothing to us.

  • @Reptilianification

Lol, yeah, I am a child. Even though I've acting civil through this discussion meanwhile you were giving off douchey pretentious vibes? And you are 45? really? Your profile says 38, you are probably just some 20 something year old nobody that likes to troll others.

Also whoever said I was using genres for objectivity? I was stating that people judge music objectively about artists that play a similar style.

Also every source I've seen states Sunn o))) as drone doom.

  • @Reptilianification

Also, irregardless to what you may like there will always be an objective measurement of musical qualities such as skill and whatnot.

And Sunn O))) is drone metal, get over it.

  • @Reptilianification

Why would anti-music exist then? Also qualities are measured, otherwise people/critics and whatnot wouldn't give them rating and state that an artist is better than another artist of a similar genre.

"Kid"? Fuck off asshole, I've lost my tolerance for you. Don't treat like I'm someone lesser than you. I've stated multiple times its because they play many genres so even if they happen to be one genre at that moment, they incorporate other influences from other genres.

  • @Reptilianification

Really?? I just stated that their variation isn't as intense because again, they've done more genres than Sunn O))). =/

Also, your liking of the music is entirely subjective but in spite of that, musical talent and having it be "good music" is still objectively measured WHETHER YOU LIKE THE MUSIC OR NOT. It helps us see music for what it is and keeps our biases aside.

  • @Reptilianification

Whoever said I'm deciding? Nothing wrong with stating the cons about things, I'm not confronting or anything. Also, I know there are people that enjoy music like this, I DO TOO.

Also their variation isn't as intense because again, they've done more genres than Sunn O))). And thanks for the recommended pieces. =)

  • @Reptilianification

I meant as in... your own flaws and whatnot when talking about music. Anyways, that aside the point, for Sunn O))) playing a specific style of music, their variation in incredible. And BTW, Sunn O))) is drone doom metal. And Sunn are boring, some of their songs don't catch my attention unlike others I've heard.

I doubt I'll get into these guys but I might just look up these guys more, they sound interesting.

  • @Reptilianification

Again, this was based of a first impression and I got a better impression out of Sunn O)))

Also what?! You like these long, boring pieces more?!! Well... at least you openly admitted they were boring, its good to admit your musical flaws. Hell, I don't always listen to the best shit, but I do it because its a fun listen. =)

Also the only reason this group has more variation is probably because they are playing a 6 YEAR LONG SONG! xD

  • @Reptilianification

Obviously, Sunn O))) doesn't play jazz or anything complicated, their shit is as east as could be... but that's not the point of their music is it?

Anyways, this enternally long song has some interesting parts during the song but that 5 hour excerpt composed of only one sound gave me a bad impression.

  • I actually love listening to this track while studying and sometimes reading.

  • how complex and intricate. I wanna learn how to play this!!

    yeah right

  • Guess what, Bull of Heaven released "260 - lcm (2,3,5,7,11,13...)." It tops this. It tops "Longplayer." It tops the existence of the universe! It's almost 8,500,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years long! That's more then a billion. More than a trillion. More than a quadrillion, quintillion, sextillion. It's 8.5 SEPTILLION (A TRILLION TRILLIONS) YEARS! It doesn't even play because by the time it renders, HUMANS WILL BE EXTINCT! Bull of Heaven, you have really out done yourselves this time.

  • I can't find the other 200,000 parts, help?

  • Seriously interesting. I wonder if someone has or would listen to all the years-worth of this. Maybe not in one go, maybe it'd take 10 years or more, but it's still interesting. I'm 13 minutes into this on their site, and it's very repetitive, but still interesting.

  • I actually quite like this band. Sure, you're obviously not gonna listen to the entire song, but it's still an interesting and relaxing piece of work.

  • This is genius. It's like, how do these guys make it? You know it's electronic and they don't work that much to make it but still...THEY HAVE A SONG LONGER THAN THE UNIVERSE. It's just so insane it's funny.

  • Are these guys serious ? One of the strangest band I've ever heard...

How could they come up with the idea of creating a song that lasts for 8 billion years only made of a few minutes loop that repeats again and again ???

  • @XGV25 nah there are differences throughout the song. It is not just a loop the whole time.

  • omg -brain dies and ears bleed-....

  • Oh fuck, they got some new songs who are older than the fucking universe. Seriously. Check their site.

  • @Creakskiey yes, that is goo

  • Wait this isnt the real part one doesnt the beginning start like a heart beat with the beat but it skips? because i was just listening to it.

  • how long this song?

  • i love it

  • this is total crap...

they have a song that is 6 YEARS long, that could drive a man insane

i dont even think that anyone in that.. "band" ..has listened to the hole thing it would take decades.

  • @drew945101 It wouldn't take decades, it would take 6 years.

    I anyhow doubt they have.

  • this is total crap...

they have a song that is 6 YEARS long, that could drive a man insane

i dont even think that anyone in that.. "band" ..has listened to the hole thing it would take decades.

  • Something otherworldly about this piece. Still, I have a hard time appreciating it, because I know it took zero talent to write.

  • I want to see them live.

  • chuck norris can watch this in one minute

  • HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • Who's paying for all this studio time?

  • Imagine if they played this in live concert.

  • @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

  • Thumbs up if you listened to the whole song. Just kidding.

  • I got horny.

  • Too bad they can't put out a 5-year long song that I'd actually want to listen to...

  • @Conflikt420 Too bad you can't make a piece of music of any length that anybody would want to listen to. Too bad these guys have people interested in their work. Too bad a 50,000 hour long piece of music isn't a "song."

  • @meohmyoh Yeah you're right man it's genius. I can see the crowds of screaming fans now...;-).

  • @Conflikt420 No, you're right. Every noise band should release music exclusively for you to listen to. Check out a few of their rock pieces, textural drone pieces, minimalist piano works. Nothing wrong with this band.

  • ONE WORD WOW!! What is this music used for. ! OMG! love it

  • @LEG0B0Y the song's 50,000 hours, which is roughly 5.7 years.

  • I find it really interesting that there is no info on this band at all other than that the 'creators' have no way of making moeny off the music.

And uh, I think the song is 500,000 hours, not 5.7 years...

  • @LEG0B0Y 500,000 hours = 5.7 years.

  • Im seriously and truley not trying to offend anyone but does anyone actually listen to this music, and if so all of the song?

  • @ClanCRaZeD I do but i have a very open taste in music. Anyone who listens to the whole thing is either insane or put in a US maximum security prison for leaking secret documents and were miraculously allowed to bring a hundred mp3 players.

  • Funny thing is I knew about this.

  • Wanna post all 50,000 hours of it for us, bro? Haha.

  • Didn't know that so annoying music can be so beautiful.

I think I'm in love with bulls.

  • i was just wondering ... making a song thats 50000 hours long.... 3.9TB

who the hell has that much memory (or patience)

  • @mtxplod I do ask myself how they did it, i guess they just got hold of a huge expensive HD. How they actually recorded the song is what makes me wonder, i assume they just make a musical pattern and set it to repeat for ages, maybe with some algorithms to make subtle changes every now and then they come back to make a different pattern and did this over 6 years?

  • While this is beyond interesting, I'd rather listen to Philip Glass.

  • @Vultraz168 No you didn't.

  • @Vultraz168

Oops! I mistook "longer" for "shorter".

My English is not perfect yet. I apologize for your 3months.

    ごめんなさい :-...

  • Next goal for Bull of Heaven: create a piece of music that lasts a few centuries and that takes up several petabytes (PB) of space.

  • @alreadytakenthe3rd Actually, they made a song that lasts longer than the universe have ever existed, by the way.

    I kid you not.

  • @perrottafamily1 Doesn't surprise me one iota.

  • @perrottafamily1

    What song is that??

  • It would take about 6 years to listen to the entire song

  • scary :|

  • MY IPOD CANNOT, CAN-NOT HOLD THE ENTIRE SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO DEVICE ON EARTH CAN HOLD THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

BULL OF HEAVEN HAS NOW BECOME A LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful songs!

But i want to listen them just a little bit longer.

  • This music reminds me of the Great Deku Tree in Ocarina of Time.

Also, this song makes me question the boundaries of reality as we know them.

Perhaps this song has been playing since the beginning of all time!

  • reminds me of silent hill

    sorta

  • the tune is really catchy. i'll be humming it all day

  • This is amazing, I love ambient.

  • @XxMinatoNamikazexX Much more drone and minimalism than ambient, actually.

  • @TheClarenceter

One could argue that drone and minimalism are Ambient subgenres. But I'll leave it at that.

  • @XxMinatoNamikazexX One could argue that it is not like that at all, Drone focuses on repeating the same perfect sound over and over several times, while Minimalism....does La Monte Young, Philip Glass, Steve Reich or William Basinski sound like "ambient" to you? Oh, subgenres can fuck off, I ain't talking about subgenres. I will call it Ambient if it is atmospheric enough, while this also is atmospheric, it's not really Ambient. ...

  • @TheClarenceter No need to go on a rant there.

  • @XxMinatoNamikazexX Please help me, all the time I think I'm ready for school, I just cant get me bastard lazy arse up and LEAVE.

  • @TheClarenceter Motivation problems?

  • @XxMinatoNamikazexX No, I'm just lazy as the damn fucked Universe. I do alot of stuff all the time, but I just can't drag my arse to school.

  • Wait a minute.... This isn't part 1! XD

  • @TheMostSlyFox

True, but the first part (who knows how long, maybe a year) is just the same two sounds repeating. This is at least interesting.

  • @rushnerd The first part lasts ten days. The section in Excerpt B lasts five months. From there, we don't know yet.

  • @rushnerd So, I'm assuming this is Excerpt A?

  • @jamieboyrockon No this is Excerpt G, I believe.

  • @rushnerd @TheMostSlyFox TheMostSlyFox is right, this is actually the beginning of the last part.

  • moo

  • Dude... this makes Sunn O))) look like DragonForce.

  • replace DF with Napalm Death

  • @TheSaucyAuto

Holy shit I looked up Sunn O))), thanks, I love this kind of stuff :D

  • @rushnerd Look up Earth man! Start with Earth 2 and work your way up from that.

  • @TheSaucyAuto

except that Sunn O))) plays music and has variation, feel and emotion . This is pretentious bullshit that only retards would call music.

  • @FutileExistence Can't tell if trolling or just an elitist.

  • @TheSaucyAuto

If I were an elitist I would be calling this music no? But yeah, I'm somewhat elitist.

  • @FutileExistence I guess that makes two of us, eh.

GWARGH MUSIC IS JUST THE ORGANIZATION OF SOUND AND SILENCE GWARGH

  • @TheSaucyAuto

In all honesty though, this is ridiculous. I checked out a 5 hour excerpt from this song and its pratically one noise. There is no musical value in that, its seriously makes me mad that this be considered "music" by someone or find any emotional or artistic value to this.

  • @TheSaucyAuto

the video is called "Bull of Heaven - Her Name is Unending"

Fuck, at least what makes Sunn O))) music is that they have an incredible atmosphere and play their stuff live. And their studio albums show their interesting musiciaship.

  • @FutileExistence I never said I didn't like Sunn O))). Matter of fact, I'm trying to find some live concerts for them so I can experience them and their music in person.

  • @TheSaucyAuto

And I never stated you disliked them. =)

Also, I've still yet to go to a concert. That's gonna change the 29th though! =D

But it won't be a metal concert. =(

  • @TheSaucyAuto

On a side note, this is more interesting than there 5 hour excerpt I was listening to. But that's about it.

  • two things:

    1) is it on itunes?

    2) where do you find an orchestra that's willing to play this?

  • @showmethecoffee

Assuming a 4min song is $1 on iTunes, they would charge $750,000 to download this song.

  • @rushnerd

    i call overkill

  • @rushnerd It costs 400,000 dollars to listen to this song.... for 12000 minutes...

  • @rushnerd reminds me of a swedish movie called "peter and petra" where some kind of fairies are ice skating in a rink. creepy as anything, really.

  • @rushnerd It cost 400.000$ to download this song on iTunes, for 4723 hours 54 minutes 37 seconds.

  • @showmethecoffee Besides, this is available for free download on the band's own website. It's available in fragments. Don't download the whole thing because it's file size is measured in terabytes.

  • @showmethecoffee It's on BoH's website, if you have 3.9 TB of hard drive available you can download it there.

  • @showmethecoffee Check out their website (bullofheavendotcom) you'll find everything is free for download there.

  • @showmethecoffee Funny thing is, if you were to download it off iTunes, you'd be downloading 3.19 terabytes of data, of which 1 terabyte is equal to 1 thousand gigabytes, or 1 trillion bytes. So if you wanna go bankrupt and crash your computer, then go ahead and download it.

  • @RevolverRicoche I'm sorry, 3.9 terabytes not 3.19, but still!

  • @showmethecoffee 1) Go to their website, every song is available for download for free.

    2) FL Studios and myself.

  • 50,000...?!

HOW DO YOU PLAY SUCH A THING.

    Srsly.

  • Brb, going to the store to pick up a 5tb hard drive! :D

  • Is it possible you can download the whole thing!? :O

  • @TheBeardieandtheLeo

    only 3.9Terabytes!

  • Rushnerd! I am going to use this song In my new video.

  • waht the fuck is this

  • i may also be going insane

  • must... stay... awake...

  • What the fuck. Three words to descripe the picture.

  • WHYYYY WOULD SOMEONE MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THIS?!

  • @DukeOnkled Because it's awesome, and you'd be hard-pressed to disagree.

  • @DukeOnkled same kind of person that created "Longplayer"

  • waht the fuck is this

  • psychedelic 60's art ambiance trip through mind of human and cow and everything between them.

  • In case it wasn't obvious; the song is 50,000 hours long.

  • @rushnerd Holy shit.

  • nice ambient track

  • Needs drums.

  • I didn't think they were finished uploading this yet

  • o.o

  • 1 person disliked this video 42 minutes ago.

  • 2 deep 4 me

  • wut?

  • do it faggot

  • nope

  • @rapter13 nope.avi
