Wow - I've logged into YouTube for the first time in a while and found a pot of gold! I love hearing U2's jam sessions before they record an album. Did any of this get used beyond All because of You and Fast Cars? There's a really great passage of rock there in the middle and it's kind of a shame that wasn't fully captured on HTDAAB.

False, Xanax its more powerful than Klonopin (Clonazepam). A sedative drug more powerful than Xanax its for example Restoril (Temazepan) and Ambien (Zolpidem), but really, Meds + Alcohol = bas idea

The primary problem regarding U2's most recent work is commercialism. They tend to be blinded by mainstream marketing and publicity. Regardless, I loved How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb

A good point, however most relevant to ATYCLB and HTDAAB. NLOTH is a vast improvement, though songs like "Crazy" have still been included for their hit potential.

Looking really forward to the upcoming "Songs of Ascent", I think it will be mainly slow songs of high quality!

Hmm. No better than it had to be. Fast Cars is slightly better, but that's not saying much: that riff just isn't good enough, neither is the overall tune. Not their best by a very long way indeed.

It really is strange that they chose "Fast Cars" - personally i think that "Fast Cars" was too same for a song of that lenght. This version's got more verses and a bridge - it's more dynamic and intersting.

This isn't nearly as good as "Fast Cars". Without the flamenco-like guitar, this song, especially the guitar work, sounds like cliche U2. I'm glad they stuck to "Fast Cars", but they shouldn't have kept it as a b-side. "All Because of You" and "Vertigo" were more deserving of that fate.

Vertigo or Native Son, I could go either way, I like both, and the lyrics make them completely incomparable in some ways. But here, it is clear, Xanax and Wine is much better than Fast Cars!
