I personally prefer the Archos 5 over both of those players. only bad thing about Archos is the fact that one has to shell out more money for more file type support. But it still better than both of those right out of the box. but again my opinion

P2 is cheaper. But the Ipod touch does have apps and internet. I think it all comes down to age. If you're a kid or just looking for entertainment than the iPod is just what you're looking for. However if you're just looking for music and the basics than the P2 is for you. But keep in mind the P2 has a bunch of personalization features. Price does play a big part in your decision. The sound quality of P2 better than any other media player. I can tell this because Im a soun producer. Video quality just great 16:9, clean and bright. Touch screen works just great and it looks great. And most imported the price great. I spend two weeks to find nice media player and yesterday I both P2 16gb with firmware upgraded for 315$ and it rocks! It has the best sound quality in the market. Even with included headphone. I am saying I pod is bad but price and performance!

Dude, just admit, ipod touch is way easier to scroll through music and video, and the ipod touch has itunes which makes it incredibly easy to put songs on your iPod. If its to much money to buy on itunes, then use Limewire.

Um ... kinda like no comparison with the new iPod touch and the 2.0 update. I've now got over 30 app.s on my iPod touch and over half were free. It's also pretty cool to just buy a song when the mood strikes me directly on my iPod touch.

with firmware upgrade comes with Voice recording, and Texting on Bluetooth, yes it does have built in mic , u can use it as phone if u have another phone that has bluetooth, yes u can use logitech wireless headphones, yes you can change EQ and use dictionary and etc.,

The sound quality of P2 better than any other media player. I can tell this because Im a soun producer. Video quality just great 16:9, clean and bright. Touch screen works just great and it looks great. And most imported the price great. I spend two weeks to find nice media player and yesterday I both P2 16gb with firmware upgraded for 315$ and it rocks! It has the best sound quality in the market. Even with included headphone. I am saying I pod is bad but price and performance!

Your comment didn't make any sense but from my perspective if you were trying to say its useless unless the phone has bluetooth. All phones or like 90% of phones have bluetooth unless it's a very old phone.
And if your saying having the phone close to you and using the p2 as a phone is useless thats also incorrect. Reason being is what if the cellphone doesn't support mp3? or music. And you were listening to the P2 and didn't hear a call .
