my main issue with this game is the horrible quests... i have never played wow or any other mmo for that matter.. AoC was my first.. but i have played a lot of other rpgs..
The stories in the quests is just like some satire of a bad story... its just insanely bad... "get my book from my dungeon thats somehow below my house please"... *hack-slash-hack-slash* "oh thanks... btw.. did you notice that huge boss creature down there that you just killed?"... "you need to kill him" *hack-slash-hack*
@oggedask Well I played wow from launch till Lich king. The quests are even worse than you described. It's the same go there get X, come back, go there again kill X etc etc. I don't know if you meant RPG's(single player) or MMORPG's. If you meant single player then of course the single player game will have better story telling. It's a lot more difficult to pull this off in a MMO. If you want a more story compelling MMO check out Dungeons & dragons online, it's free and kinda unique.
By far the BEST graphics in an MMO hands down Guild wars was close but no ciggy...And the music is bar non the best!! Love this game!!! Played when it came out saw the bugs said meh i'lll give it some time ( 1 year later) and now BOOM!!!! They got their house in order and its BAD ASS!!!!! PVE, PVP, Come in and Kill~~!!!!
having dl´d the trial but i keep getting sound error issues .. no comabtsounds eg... all other works fine and i was thinking abt gettingt started really ... but not with all these soundissues :-(

"try it for yourself" ..and I can only voice this again and again! Try it! There is no other game like Age of Conan with amazing music and graphics..but the most amazing part is the dynamic combat system which renders every fight into a new challange.

Its good. A little thin on the players now but i recommend it. I'd be playing right now but my graphics card is dieing on me it crashes nonstop. I cant wait for the expansion if for nothing else to just get a giant horde of new players lol.

Yea, I'm still having some probs with funcom's online payment, it won't let me select 3 months, it keeps going to 6. And I can't delete the payment, it keeps staying on pending.. so I'll have to go to the store :(

give AoC a second or first chance. The Graphics and Atmosphere is so great. You wont get that in another MMO. And the Community is so much fun and "grown up". Noobie questions will be answered without downtalk in any way.
I dont see any bugs in the PVP i think you just probably suck. as for swimming up waterfalls....really is that all you can think of to back up your arguement? Star Wars Galaxies even pre-CU/NGE which was a fantastic game you could run up vertical cliff faces. Its a game get over yourself. IF it bothers you that much go swim in a real damn river.

a graphical glitch that happens once in a blue moon and can be fixed simply by taking your helmet off and putting it back on and has no effect whatsoever on gameplay...really thats it? Conqs dont suck you suck ive fought plenty of conqs who put up tough fights. Learn to play instead of bitching about stupid non existant "bugs" which aernt even bugs you have yet to tell me about 1 bug you probably dont even know what they really are.
hehe they go into the Black Fortress with lvl 80 T1 equipped group for this video nice ;)...but i like to see a group at Keshetta where they kill the T2 Bosses *G*
RotGS expansion is going to suck, players do not want to come back to AoC and this expansion is only for those that are lvl 80 already that need more endgame content, why would old players want to go through the same AoC from 1-80 and then experience the new expansion that really doesn't got what it takes to draw players back to the game
My AoC sub have not been active for a while now and I am going back to the game when the expansion is out. The expansion is not only about new end game content, Funcom also introduces a new area for lvl 20/40 players.
i like how they F**ked the tier one raids. yak and kylik are still very much do-able. but vistrix is far too unforgiving. I can say knowing first hand that the tier two bosses are easier then the final teir one boss. where the hell is that logic?. tier one raids should be pug-able & you shouldnt have to be fully geared. Funcom, pull up your socks, get on these issues before more people lose interest.
Some of the most basic things need serious re-tweaking in this game. I mean REALLY what kind of game allows you to have pets that can't tank mobs and you wear cloth? I mean certain things you mess with can be bad.
@Alexon88 Don't see how it being free would affect your FPS (unless you mean having more players in towns, which maybe). But more likely you need to update your graphics card driver or something.
i found not enough has changed. they made good changes to the core stats system, but they still lack full itemization for the soldier classes that now wear plate, but only guardian specific plate exists in the game. these kind of half-assed efforts to update content have been a hallmark of funcom's development of age of conan. one can only hope it will change...but after this re-evaluation, i sure won't be holding my breath for another year.
How can I increase my fps? I have very much trouble with FPS in this game. and its the same no matter if low or high settings.. ??

looks like a lot of people are starting to drift back towards the MMO market now that everyone is done with icecrown in WoW.
There is nothing to do in wow anymore. The pve is always the same, and the PvP is getting very stale.
This should be a nice fresh breath of air for me, and a lot of other people out there.
