If two lovers need to look at porn to get aroused I would seriously question their marriage. Since when did we have to start bringing in a third party into the marriage bed that is between two people? Pornography is that third party. Like I said earlier, any excuse to accept sin as acceptable behavior.
(cont from previous)...human kind, but I don't recognize what form that higher power takes. I also believe that so long as what people do harms none, let them do what they will (borrowed from the Wiccan faith). The only thing I will ever say people SHOULD do is they SHOULD try to help their fellow humans. Forcing a particular view of the world, or the world beyond does NOT qualify, so I say to you, Mr. freespeachrulez, Good Day.
I find it hard to believe that anyone who believes in God or calls themself a Christian would ever view porn as ok. Because Jesus said in Matthew. If you look with lust it is the same as commiting adultry. Lust should be in the healthy bounds of marriage.
I've sat and thought about this, and I keep coming back to the same question for you, Mr. freespeachrulez. Who the heck said I believe in YOUR god? Did I SAY I was Christian? Do I have a crucifix in the background of my video? Is there any mention of any biblical text in my video? The answer is a strong resounding NO to all three of those questions. I happen to identify myself as a theist. Yes, a theist. I recognize there is a higher power then...
Then according to my religion you are a antichrist. Might as well be for satan. Jesus said you are either for him or against him. And if you are against him then you are for Satan, and it was Jesus who said that in his word.
First let me be perfectly clear that I am not a Christian myself and I am agnostic when it comes to the possible existence of God or a god. However, since Christianity is by no means the only theistic religion I fail to see why you think merely believing in the existence of God should require that a person see pornography as bad. And even within the Christian religion there is considerable disagreement over whether or not the viewing of pornography constitutes "looking with lust".
Is it not possible that two lovers who for whatever reason have a difficult time getting aroused might use pornography as a prelude to foreplay and then sex? There is a clear difference between being aroused by the actions/situations portrayed by the actors in a pornographic film and lusting after the actors themselves (and lust is not just finding oneself sexually attracted to them--it goes beyond that in that you preoccupy yourself with regret and jealousy at not having them.)
If any Christian sect has to argue over the fact that pornography costitutes looking with lust I would argue they need to evaluate what is pornography. If pornography is by definition anything that causes sexual arrousal by depiction of sexual intercourse or images, or text that causes arrousal, then I would say no, pornography is never ok. People on here can try and defend sin all they want.. It is God they have to answer to in the end. People making up these stupid ideas on how it is ok.
