I lived at near the Jarvis el station. One time, when I walked across Howard Street. One gangmember flashed his sign to a different gang member. Then that gangmember flashed his greeting. Looked like a mistake in the responding sign. He gave another one. I moved out of the area. Whew!!!

Thanks for the updated info. The Kings were big around Howard and Clark in the 80s. In 1979, a Howard Street Greaser stabbed a Howard Street King to death in a rumble at the school park. That was real old school gang fighting.
