Assign Static IP Address in Windows 7

somebody help my ip adress is different in my modem setup. In CMD ipconfig my ip adress is 192.168.0.11 but when i want to change the settings my ip adress is 192.168.0.10! HELP PLEASE!

@Avoiderrors i dont think u can fix that. thats just how wireless works. sometimes i get 1/5 bars some times i get 5/5 bars. i restart it when the 1/5 bar stays for to long.

what if i want to Undo the change?. is that possible?

No printers and no phone. I can connect via DCHP without any issues, but assigning a Static IP is an issue. Do you know of any way that I can reset all network connections to default in Windows 7 and try again from fresh in case there are any issues.

@TheGift73 1 click start 2 go to control panel 3 go to network and sharing center 4 click on change adapter settings 5 right click local area connection 6 click on properties 7 select or highlight internet protocol version 4 8 click properties 9 obtain IP adress automaticly and DNS automatcly

Great video. I think I may be experiencing that long term trouble you mentioned in the video. I am trying to assign a static IP address to my current connection of 192.168.0.2 (netgear) but when I try to assign this as a static IP address it keeps on saying that another connection already had this address. There are no other computers attached to my router? It does this for 192.168.0.2 thru to 15?
