I've been playing 4-string bass for a while and was looking at picking up a 5-string here sometime soon and I was just wondering how you like your F255 and if there was anything on it that you would improve upon. Thanks man, I love my F255 it will be three years old in augest. perfect for drop tunings, its neck through, active electronics, but passive pick ups. It stayes in tune , has a thick clear coat on it so its fairly well protected. It has a u shape neck so it fits in your palm and its a fast neck. But best of all it has a lifetime warrenty. The only thing i dont like about it is its action is fairly high so its not good for a lot of tap or slap pop but its best to try all basses before you buy.

and read up on warrentys and but try all brands to find what you like best and as for me esp was my best choice it outshined every contender in the price range. hope i helped stay metal.

Loober, I was actually in your situation . But, it was with the B.C Rich WMD Widow it was ok but it wasent as veritile as this its very balanced and also the eq on this is way better than the bcrich and the eq on this is center dent i and another big thing is esp relly stands behind their insterments they have a limited lifetime warrenty bcrich only has a limited 2 year warrenty my opinion is in there own way the are both good but play them both before you buy get what your comfortable with .
