Governments that invest billions of taxpayer dollars into nuclear power don't have the courage to then provide the public with the information they need when a nuclear disaster strikes. This is just an inherent weakness of human beings to not be able to face up to monumental mistakes. That is but one sound reason to not tolerate nuclear power anywhere in the world; humans simply cannot cope with the size & scope of a nuclear accident, therefore we try to cover it up or minimize the impact.
