he wasn't red. there were many scenes in the comic where he looked different colors. but his color is a purplish type.... i loved the movie, could have had teh squid but it was still the same ending. ozy brought the world together... and Dr. Mannhatten left so it doesn't matter if he was framed

Dr. Manhattan makes more sense, because the people have seen him and what he can do. They might not be able to comprehend an alien squid.

The Squid is not Watchmen. The Squid is the apocalypse, the evil movie monster. It was stupid, it was gay, it was illogical.

I highly suggest you read the Graphic Novel. It is one of the most outstanding peices I have read ina long time., And Dr. Manhattan (Reall name is Jon Osterman, and is the guy being locked in in this clip), becomes an omniscient, all powerful, glowing blue super-being.

No fucking way! Out of all the visual components of this film, Jon exploding is the most mesmerizing. Just my opinion but I think it looks beautiful in a kind of bittersweet way.

Crudup is superb, but those two actors outside the door are TERRIBLE! And why did his girlfriend stick her tongue out at 0:35? I think the director should have demanded another take at that moment. I really hope this movie can at least be mostly good.
