@yazsurvivors do you (or anyone) have a birth control pill that they can recommend that will still help my acne, without all the side effects and risks like yasmin?
I have been on yasmin now for 6 months. I will be trying a new birth control, im not sure which to try though. Although the yasmin, helped my acne, I have gained weight, had terrible horrible migraine headaches, felt in daze, out of it, tierd, lazy, blurred vision, spotting, and leg cramping all have occured after starting this pill. Not ok, and scary! Now I need to decide what pill would be good for me.

@agricolaregs i've heard many stories of people who get horrible side effects and doctors think it's all mental. That's how bad this drug is. If you were having chest pain or numbness be sure to get checked out for blood clots

Has anyone experience constipation/IBS like symptoms on this pill? I found a few threads regarding this but I'm just curious. I've been on Yasmin for nearly 4 years. And I want off! I also have horrible mood swings near my period (mostly sadness) and NO, I mean ZERO sex drive. wtf? I'm 22!

Doses of ethinylestradiol at or below 30 mcg (Yasmin, Yaz and Yasminelle) may also provide some crypto abortions because ovulation is not completely blocked and in case of conception, the embryo is removed from the pill itself without the woman noticing.

@contraix Yes 12. She had a horrible cycle almost perpetual so to regulate it our last resort was birth control. And she went thru 3 types. Fir a low dose one for 2 months then onto orcela 2 months and then the yazmin. She is just sort of starting to feel ok. She has panic attacks now her heart races and she cries. It's just horrible. I don't have any faith in the medical field can't trust even them to know whats up. Were on our own.

@YazSurvivors Thank you Her pediatrician on her last visit a month ago mentioned 2 us that she had another young girl my daughters age had the same situation happen 2 her After I had requested all my daughters records when my daughter was going thru the worst of the withdrawals her doc was a bit short w us on the next visit. But later changed her tune & was very nice 2 us. She even called us @ home 2 say what a good job MOM was doing (me) my daughters labs all came back so good.
My daughter went thru a horrible X W this drug My husband is Hawkins39 & he told me later he commented on this video My daughter couldnt even go in2 a store or stand to be in public she felt terribly paranoid, nervous & sick. I just kept saying it will work its way out of your system Here we r in 2012 she still has some uneasiness but not as severe A child of her age should never go thru this This should never have happened & I kick myself 4 placing her on it Im so angry
I kept the prescription boxes so 2 save the dates prescribed. She was on Ocella @ first she was unconsolable @ times & so we put her on the Yasmin thinking the doctors know what they r doing w children her age NEVER THINK THAT! I know now The YAZ did her in we r lucky we have her today. My daughter thought she was going insane & we didnt know what 2do I am thankful I didnt place her on another medication after this she may not B W us 2day It was last alternative 4 us we didnt know

I have been on yasmin now for 6 months. I will be trying a new birth control, im not sure which to try though.
