  • safe to use in sunlight??

  • @thfurrylittlebastard its not recommended but its good to show the problems in the clearcoat though

  • @meguiarsasia I got scatches and swirlsmarks quite much on my black bmw, shud i use polisher or the ultimate compound, please answer.

  • wouldn't the scratchX 2.0 work for swirls aswell? since it does remove light scratches? and aren't swirls small scratches?

  • Comment removed

  • polerka na sloncu tak pewnie heh

  • Ultimate compound does the same job

  • I just go threw buffing a black yukon for a customer i used meguiars 105 and i used a 7424xp porter cable everything was gud but there werr still minor swirl marks wen seen in the sun so i was trying to figure out if this swirl x is the best for removing swirl marks are should i just go with a higher swirl remover lyke meguiars professional swirl remover scale 3

  • @backspace1290 that would probably work well....our pro line items are much more aggressive than the consumer ones.

  • @meguiarsasia can this be put on with out a buffer

  • @EeLaMSaRu yes it can :)

  • @meguiarsasia also does the professional one have to be put on with a buffer .is the pro better than ultimate compound

  • @EeLaMSaRu the pro line is more aggressive than consumer ones. The pro M105 product can be applied by hand, orbital, DA and rotary machines.

  • @meguiarsasia u guys should make just the quick detailer because i ran out of quick detailer and i just got the aggresive clay for pros!!!! what do i do now????????????

just saying cause if i buy another kit what do i do with the clay

  • @EeLaMSaRu we do offer just quik detailer. Quik detailer works with the pro clay also....you can also use M34

  • I LOVE your products. I have never used the swirl remover. I have however used many many products and I fine Meguiars to be among the best, if not the best. One quick question. Do you know why it is considered wrong to wash your car with dish soap? I have done this many times (sorry there are a lot of dumb people, not just me, LOL) and I have not seen any problems but I am wondering if maybe it removes wax.

  • @jordanjcm dishwashing soap is made to remove oils from kitchen food.....but wax has oils in it also and this soap will strip your rubber, vinyl, plastic, and paint of all protection and will make it fade and turn hard/white over time if not washed with a PH balanced car soap.

  • @jordanjcm

Just invest in a good car soap like Meguiars Ultimate Wash & Wax,

Its not that expensive and it keeps your car in good and shiny condition.

  • @taran910 yes

  • @meguiarsasia If it removes paint then wouldn't that mean it removed the clear coat?. So you are saying there would be NO clear coat left ?

  • @jordanjcm paint (base coat) and clearcoat are different things. This removes a VERY light layer of clearcoat to remove the defects only.

  • @meguiarsasia The question from (taran910) was : "does this remove a thin layer of paint (if I use a cheap swirl remover)

    your answer: yes

Now you send a message to ME saying "it removes a very light layer of CLEAR COAT"

So you can see how I am confused..

  • @jordanjcm our products clean the defects and remove a VERY light layer of clearcoat due to SMAT technology..... our competitors have non diminishing macro/micro abrasives that do not breakdown and also damage the clearcoat (sometimes where the clearcoat will be gone totally).

  • I recenty tried polishing and removing my swirls from my black car, but when I tried using the buffing machine, it would jolt every time i tried using it while it was on the hood. Doing this left a very thick residue that I had to rub off manually with a micro fiber towel. I also noticed that I left holograms in the paint, which I had no idea why. Can you guys help me out b giving me some pointers why this happened? PLEASE. I used Meguires Swirl X, then Ultimate Polish.

  • @youwilltapout you may have used too much product with a not super clean pad. It should not jolt like you said but rather be a fluid even motion. Try coin sized amounts of product on your clearcoat.

  • For some reason I prefer watching shiny and extremely clean cars than porn.

I love Meguiar's but there's so god damn many types to choose I don't know which to use on my car. Is this alright for light scratches, I don't have swirl marks, just light scratches.

  • @Tariqslo yes light scratches this product would work.

  • when should the swirl X and scratch X be used? As in, right after the vehicle has been claybar'd and before the wax? Also, can SwirlX and Scratch X be used together and if so, how?

  • its ok to do this in sunlight?

  • @white1jesus no this is best to ALWAYS do under the shade and NOT in the sun....this is a end user video that was shot under the direct sunlight so you can easily see the small swirls, haze and holograms. Great question!

  • 0:19 vs 3:10

  • Someone turn the music oFFFF!

  • what do you mean by "always wet buff'?

  • @swosanity as you move the pad across the clearcoat, you always want to see a trail of product being left behind....never work the product in SO much where its dry and causes more scratches, haze and heat

  • this cant be used by hand?

  • @fastnsexy yes it can be used by hand

  • @meguiarsasia so whats the difference between swirl x and ultimate compound?

  • @fastnsexy ultimate compound is mainly for oxidation and swirlx is for light to medium swirls.

  • I am in Austraslia, can I get the G220 DA and where?

  • @Lumixster

Just try, Autopro, Repco, or even a petrol station.. Or you could order on there website (: Just google "meguiars australia" and under Surface Prep .. its there (:

  • i jus wet sanded a new truck n i used ur dimond cut compound followed by ur polish then i used the swirl x n finshed with the tech wax n for some reasone i had swirls from the buffer i use a dewalt buffer.what am i doing wrong its happend on the last 4 cars.iv bin doing this for a cuple of years now

  • Looks that this bmw does'nt have the best paint quality

  • @huffy15

    Swirls happen to all cars.

  • Congratulations meguiarsasia good job.

  • VERY good video, well done, ima go buy that shit tomorrow! they should pay you for making this video!

  • Where can a resident in the United States purchase the G220 DA? All I've seen for sale is the G110 DA. And also, what is the difference between the two random orbitals?

  • @ComfortablyxNumb59 G220DA is not sold in USA due to plug requirements. The only difference is the plug type.

  • @meguiarsasia Thanks for clearing that up!

  • @ComfortablyxNumb59 you are much better off going with the porter cable 7424xp. damn nice machine much better then this one and priced around $120

  • @xz28camaro thanks man! Yeah the 7424 is actually the model I ended up pursuing lol. I can't wait to use it in the spring. The Spec is covered in salt and sand from a snow storm =|

  • @ComfortablyxNumb59 also, look into some pads. adams polishes has what you need for the 7424. i use a yellow pad to cut, green pad to polish, and a black pad to seal and wax.

  • @latinromeo95 yes it should work fine

  • I bought swirlx and I am going to be applying this by hand. When I use it how long should I keep rubbing the section that I'm working on my car? Do I keep rubbing it until it turns into a light haze?

  • if i want to use swirlx and the claybar which one should i use first?

  • @pierinho you should use clay bar first and then swirlx

  • @meguiarsasia ok thanks. By the way whats the difference between swirl x and ultimate compound?

  • @pierinho SwirlX is less aggressive and made specifically for swirls and ultimate compound is stronger.

  • ...and for the rest of us who don't have that kind of equipment...?

  • @Mudig you can use a foam applicator pad and swirlx by hand if you want also.

  • @meguiarsasia please tell me, i have on my car holograms, many scratch, and paint is not clear. I use over 20 of Meg's products and i belive they're the best. TELL ME, what should i use-SwirlX or Ultimate compound to do it right?

  • @feeble33 if those are your problems....I would use Ultimate Compound by DA or by hand....the DA will be more aggressive at cleaning....you then follow Ultimate compound with a wax or sealant of your choosing.

  • i need to remove the swirs from my 300zx. wat shud i use after removin the swirls, caranuba wax?

  • Should it only be used by a machine or can i use it by hand`?

  • both are ok..... Machine will be more even, aggressive and better overall result

  • hi, where did you get the G220v? meguiars usa only sell G110v

  • you can purchase the G220V outside USA

  • Then, after do you apply a coat of wax?

  • @JJimen yes you are correct

  • Do I have to apply this to the whole car?

  • @JJimen You can apply this to the whole car or individually.

  • Should this be done after or before clay bar detailing?

  • @JazzPianoMarvin it should be done AFTER claying

  • clay first, then polish

  • What a smart guy...standing in the hot sun and polishing....is this really Meguiars trained personell?

  • @BMWM52B28 its in the sun so you can really see the swirls and with a handheld camera to pick up the problems....when you work with any product you should certainly be in the shade.

  • maybe it was done in the sun so we all can see a good before and after? if its in a garage we wouldnt really be able to tell if the car had any scratches or swirls

  • @dynastyracer22 In a garage with a Sungun, which is a tool deatilers use to inspect the paint and look for scratches, they very easy would see any swirls or HD's..

  • will this produce the same results if the procedure is done by hand?

  • yes

  • looks the same

  • It didn't get rid of all the swirls, but it did get rid of most of them.

  • And then what do you guys go for? A glaze? Straight to a wax or sealant?

  • you can choose a glaze to fill and hide and create extreme shine with low protection, a carnauba wax for the smell and medium protection or a sealant for a sharp look and longest protection. It is your choice. All three work after SwirlX.

  • Great Job!!!

    5*****

  • NICE!
