Majority of Israelis voted to disengage from the Gaza Strip. Israel expelled hundreds of their own citizens from their homes, which was very traumatic and expensive, in order to give land to the Palestinians. Israel clearly tried to leave. But the Palestinians responded by launching rockets, which is an act of war. Israel has a right to defend itself from an act of war.
I don't watch Fox News. I get my information from people living in Israel and Gaza and from being there myself during the disengagement, and more recently in places like Sderot and elsewhere. At least that's information which is not nearly as biased as the crap in the media.

Then it should all be private enterprise. State aid, not to mention the hyperbolic national security posturing, should end. However small Israel is in terms of physical size and population, in any war one nuclear warhead is worth tens of millions of people. It would be better for all parties if the US STATE stayed out, and any private businesses (same as those doing business with Saudi Arabia), knew they were operating or investing in a more risky area than the US and wouldn't be bailed out.
