im fairly good with sculpting but im new to puppetry is there any advice you can give me when making a puppet like this im very interested in trying my hand at a shoulder puppet of a albino vulture but i guess i should start off with basic puppetry fist before going into stuff like this ?
Hey, I was wondering how to make one (If you could describe) For, I would LOVE to create a different dragon, or wolf. I am only 12 years old, and if I could learn how to do that, Then I will finally find a profession I'll be happy with. :)
seriously, message me on here coz that is amazing and I am a bit too dragon obsessed for my own good. I would happily pay for you to make one and send one to the uk, if your up for it let me know and costs.
t even had the time to finish painting the scales on this one... I have 2 young kids and too many projects, so unfortunately making more of these is just not going to be possible.
if I make a sketch for you and we share email addresses...do you think you could make one for me?? If I can pay it at least ^^ You can tell me how much it costs and I'll safe some money to pay ya :D But I live in Holland (Europe)...so maybe you can send it to me. ^^ If you agree ofcourse. I just want one so badly!
That is amazing. I want her so bad. Something that could be a thought is if u made it interactive instead of a puppet. Like if it was actually alive. Like having a button on it's back turning it on and then it reacts to u in certain ways. Then when u turn it off it looks like it's asleep. Check out some toys like this. I think it would be cool. And every nerds dream. :) I want a dragon.
@julzabro The parts of the body that are clay are Crayola Model Magic (so they're very lightweight) and the rest is fabric over the frame with just a little stuffing or batting.
@faerydustcollector: As far as tips go... my biggest bit of advice is to remember that while it will look like you can get away with a little slop in the joints or stiffness when you're just working with the frame, the more you add the skin and stuffing the more important it becomes that the cables have good leverage and the joints don't have too much slop. It's hard to find springs small enough-- taking apart old VCR's provides some.
im trying 2 make a huge one but i kneed a lot more $ lol its going 2 be life size and it is going 2 be able 2 fly with its wings moving and if i can it can hold 2 ppl and remote controlled
That's beautiful! How are you doing the movement? Is she wired or is the electronic?

I am really impressed with the jointed folding and flapping wings, I am looking into making some puppets myself, any tips your willing to share?
