this is gods software program for our solar system , as physical model. people wrote here , why is it made of wheels and not high-end "digital" because it would work even after a CME , without batteries and on bad enviromental situations.

to all of you who think this is a computer, it is not.

it's just a gearbox with precomputed ratios, it doesn't compute anything.

it mimics the motion of the planets in our solar system, based on what is measured beforehand by humans, from Earth.

saying that this device is a computer is the same as saying that the entire solar system is computing something, just by moving.

but then again... maybe it does?

People must have spent years training to make something at complicated as that, the craftmenship is so amasing. I want to a ludite college and the stuff they made was dirty and scruffy, the stuff that the ancients made was butiful and organised. Carpenters and metal smiths must have hade to start practisin from a verry young age to achive sich acuracy.
