  • This turns me off in several ways. First, I am a Texas resident who hates niggers and mexicans, therefore I vote Republican. I assoicate said acts with those vermin scum. I believe that the republican party should not cater to niggers and spics by using their language. The only good nigger is one on an oak tree.

  • @JustinU1984 Where does this hate come from? is it towards all? Or the criminal aspect of them that we are all capable of which can be demonstrated through statistics? I only wonder because I wonder should patriots ever be called on I am more than sure there would be many ready to do what was necessary to protect the country just as you would.. would your hate exist then I wonder..if ever, one or many you hate..saved your life without thinking about theirs..would it still exist? Just asking.

  • lol

  • If you can't type something nice... no need to comment. Freeman didn't do this for the Apollo. It was a FUNdraiser. It was so much fun hearing this live! Thanks Penny!!~ Great job!

  • I could feel my I.Q. dropping as I watched the beginning of this. I had to stop it. Epic Fail.

  • Somebody needs to help this campaign. This WON'T fly in Texas. Perry will eat this woman alive unless Debra gets some REAL help. Anybody got her number... I am willing to give the campaign some pointers. First... Texans don't like gimmicks. Substance over style is the Texas way. Medina would be wise to remember that. Second... let Kay & Rick smack on each other... stay above the fray & on message. & for God's sake... the rapping entrance should be shelved. Be a straight shooter... U win Texas.

  • There were substantive speeches, too (Kokesh, Maresco, Medina...). There was an auction, T-shirts, bumper stickers, margaritas... to raise money. It wasn't just a room gathered to hear a rap song.

In a relatively small gathering there were enough Texans won over by substance to raise over $10K.

As to straight shooters winning Texas: how did Perry get in office? He not only has to check the wind for his hair, he checks it to decide what party to join.

  • Rick Perry won because NONE of the candidates for Governor that year were worth a crap. He happend to be Lt Governor when "Bush the Idiot" left for Washington DC., making him the incumbent Governor. During which Texas saw a massive jump in its economy. (from the 12th largest economy in the world to 8th largest) That's how Perry has the job.

Now $10K ?.... Kay Bailey raised $100K in less than an half-hour. Perry raised $250K in a less than an hour. $10k won't get you into the dance. (cont)

  • You can talk about Perry's hair until you are blue in the face. It won't get you any closer to Austin.

Its great she is running... really. But, this little screw-up will be played over & over & over again during the election. Now if you think this little, cultural faux pas, won't hurt Medina in the world of hard nose politics.... you don't know enough about Texas to get involved in it politics.

  • I know Perry and Hutchinson have raised millions. In the end, though, it's votes that win elections. My point wasn't that $10K is a ton of money, but that this was a small gathering with some great speeches and enthusiastic supporters--that it was more than the "gimmick" of the "Redneck Rapper."

  • My point is.... the only thing that the voters will see of this small gathering, over & over again, is the "Redneck Rapper".

Leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

  • Okay. Point taken. People, Texans included, are swayed by gimmicks and surface. They will play this over and over but not the speeches and God forbid they pick up a book or newspaper. We get the leaders we deserve, so it does look bad for Medina.

  • She CAN turn this to her advantage in the long run. All she needs to do is turn this rap into an "Independent" campaign ad. Have the rap done by a group of 18-21 year olds(with a little more boom in the speaker) & you have yourself a catchy little radio spot & TV jingle. BUT NO MORE RAPPIN' in TOWNHALL / SPEECH settings.

  • Just trying to help. I really hope she wins.

  • haha! Medina, good luck! We're with you!

  • wow i left that comment before i saw the rap show, OMG, that is so friggin awful

  • Thanks for giving Media some love

  • please...please...don't ever do this again...

  • clever
