@kurtis427 they're not replacing the a340s, they're trying to replace the 747s with the 777s, but they intend to keep the 747s for now since they upgraded it

Oddly, they were going to upgrade BOTH the 747s and a340s, but they only did the 747s and postponed the a340s =/ the a340s are starting to show they're age, but i agree with u that airbus seems more efficient x)

airbus is so spacious, whenever i fly with an airbus plane i feel so comfy because of it's spacious design :-bd but one thing i don't like about the airbus series are the televisions. it's so small even in the a320 series. it's worse in the a330 and a340 series 'cause there are a lot of passengers sharing in one small television, unlike in the boeing series, if the aircraft doesn't have AVODs, they have a huge screen and a projector to play the movies and stuff.

flew PR SYD/MNL/LAX = although late 8hrs ex-Syd - was put up in MNL then caught the night flight to LAX was upgraded to Business, service good and F/A quite friendly - will fly them again

they did already new seats and new fleet refurbished and new fleet replacement (B777-300er 2 so far)( to replace their aging aircrafts...

What is good about Philippines Airline is that they give you free stuff, a delicious healthy meal lots of space! :)

The bad thing is the last time I have been on that airline they had no personal tv. :(

they're using a340 for MNL-GES-MNL route because of the huge market.. once a day lang din kc ung flight nila so mas maganda na malaki un gamit nila... CGY also has a huge market but due to small airport n runway, theyre using a320 with atleast 3 or 4x flight daily... mas magastos pag ganun sa airline industry... mas malaki kc un babayaran nila pag mas marami flight, so wise businessmen uses bigger aircraft so as to accomodate more passengers with a lesser aiport fee kc 1/day lang ung flight...

PAL uses a340 for MNL-YVR vice versa flight (manila- vancouver canada)... also flights to honululu and some flights to hong kong to name a few

hi! there is actually a reason why that seat doesnt have a tray table ... the seat behind it has a tray table of its own in the armrest. the reason for that is that this plane's economy class is configured in a 2-4-2 pattern, and then when it gets to the rear of the aircraft, it becomes a 2-3-2, hence there wont be a need for an extra tray table when it gets to the rear. =]

Nagustuhan po nyo ba ang cabin view ng PAL because honestly kung ikukumpara ko ang PAL sa ibang airlines, dehado ang PAL wlang PTV's except yung 2 Boeing 747 at mga business class nila, at may pagka luma na yung mga eroplano nila. pero nonetheless maging proud na rin tau na may PAL tau.

well that's the good thing, i really like Boeing 777-300ER so much, i've been flying with that kind of plane a lot of times already, and excited na excited aku dahil magkakaroon na rin ang PAL ng 777 at babaguhin rin nila yung interior ng B747 at A340. best wishes nalang sa PAl at sa lahat na sumusuporta sa PAL!
