We will never again see, such innocent times, that this lovely song represents.Compare this to Lisa Marie Presley singing "I hate your guts" to see what I mean.
@jmen4ever Most people were in denial back then. Now the dirt comes rising to the top for everyone to see the sickness as it truly is and always has been. Once you know you can change it.
The days in school when we had to do drills to dive under your desk to avoid a nuclear attack. (DUH!) OMG THIS is soooo delightful. FORGOT the groups name (How could I do that??? LOVE Teddy Bears) :-))) BUT never forgot this song and all of the words. JUST chilling me to the core. Thanks Irene for bringing this to my each grasp. YEP. Namaste' and OH thanks for posting this to find here at this time. <3<3<3
Oh the heartbreak of puppy love in junior high, in the late 50's.. Also the Fleetwoods with Come Softly Darling, Brenda Lee I want to be wanted and Skeeter Davis - "Don't you know it's the [end of the world], it ended when you said Goodbye"..American Bandstand brought them all to us and then we moved on to rock and roll and The British Invasion and the Psychedelic Summer of Love with White Rabbit, Light my Fire, Lighter Shade of Pale.. Yes, the ceiling flew away...
@tickyreal Sad truly. WOW!! Did not know this. Still they are a terrific rememberence to me and my childhood and it was a tune that took me through some challenging times; NOT necessarily puppy love stuff did not have any idea of that; did not date much, before. during or after college. I wanted someone but did not like the bounding around dating scene. :-))
Have not heard this since it was requested for me by my then Girl Friend ,now my Wife,
on a Forces request show way back in April 1959, thank you so much for uploading this

For me the most and truest innocent song was recorded in 1966 by the Beach Boys and is called Wouldn't it be Nice:
It's so genuinely innocent and beautiful.
