  • @aclveg opinions are not true nor false, because they are a point of view, which can change over time and vary from person to person.

  • @aclveg why say opinions like they are facts?

  • fuckin cracker

  • Hey, sister! You look good!

  • 15 seconds into this video, I knew it wasn't about the dreads that I was staring at my screen. They fit you amazingly. It's what your soul would want for a hair trend. You are F-I-N-E. 'jah be with you.

  • Beautiful!!! Just Beautiful!! And perfect song for this video two toes up!!!

  • your hair texture is too straight for dredlocks.

  • @monalisa360 any type of hair locks up, some hair textures require abit more time then others.

  • if you aren't hot then i'm superman :D

  • pity you did not have naturally blond hair, would you be cool:) al, and thus these great :))))

  • im getting my dreadlocks in next Spring .. :) i'm also going to do a video of me getting them in :) but its going to be from a guys point of view lol

  • You're beautiful sista! Respect for being free!

  • Badu! LOOOVVEE that song .. nice ones.. i just started my fourth set roughly a week ago. wish me luck ;)

  • if i could reccomend anything to caucasians trying to dread their hair, please stay away from the crochet method at the roots of your hair, and DO NOT TRY DYING THEM a different color right when you start them.... i really screwed up my dread process with these two things....i spent more time driving to the hair dresser to lock up her crochet knots that were turning into more like inside out braids instead of real dread locks....also the dye got trapped inside my dreads= YUCK

  • @triggerhippieee 100% agree!! At the beginning I used my crochet hook because I wanted mine "perfect" and then I came to realize, the beauty of having dreads is letting them do their own thing and watching them grow and mature! Except I am going to dye mine in like 4 months. I was going to do it at the beginning but I definitely changed my mind. haha.

  • @triggerhippieee so im so confused and would love it if you answered , so you just sectioned you hair braided them a litte then added rubber bands ????????? im trying to do this and its so confusing i love yours alot and there basically how i want mine to loookk please please let me no if u have the time thank you so much zoeie..

  • @triggerhippieee If crochet is done correctly it should not look like braids at all. I had dreads for 8 years and make them too using backcombing and crochet and it should only look like normal tight locks when done correctly. Your dreads have been root flipped at 0:40 and 1:29 Is this at the hairdressers you are speaking of? If so they just threaded them through on their own root which is awful for dreads! If she was charging you for this I am concerned as this is not crochet at all :(

  • @triggerhippieee Also you look really good with dreads, I love blonde dreads the most :)

  • so yeah i doin natural dreadlocks or trying to i stopped combin my hair i wash it once a week with regular shampoo like tress emme or however its spelled any tips does bakin soda really make a difference any tips you can give me thanks

  • @araceli3912 DO NOT USE NORMAL SOAP!!!!!! Get organic soap safe for dreads. Normal soap will make your dreads disgusting. And it will not help the locking process at all. I have never used the baking soda wash before but I heard it really helps clean your dreads and locks them up a little bit. I heard you shouldn't do it every wash though. Go to thedreadlocksite There is a ton of helpful information.

  • Please help! I want dreads so bad, but everytime i start them, they grow out! I don't wqant to hire a hairdresser because that would just be too expensive! How can I keep my roots dreaded? :/ THANK YOU!

  • my god, they look even better dark! wow, you are crazy smokin hot hun.....(sigh......) lol

  • wow...you are precious, never take those out, my dear. id like to pull on those mamajammas lmao just playin( but not really) LMAO

  • you're very photogenic :D i love the video!

  • pretty slick video. I gotta say I love the artistic direction in some of these

  • lucious!

  • they look great!!! Im a hairdresser and my work specialises in dreads. we use the crochet needle method. Im curious how u found them to be high maintenance with this method in comparison to any other method?

  • @missmetal636 well my hair grows very fast... i was calling my hairdresser every other week to tighten the roots and the hook knot at the roots were not actually creating locks they were creating inside out braids...i thought it looked quite retarded and when the roots were growing out the hair was growing in two seperate hair twists in the opposite directions...thats not a lock to me thats a loosened braid....

  • @triggerhippieee hmmm that would be annoying having to go back so often. but they look great :)

  • Wow you dreads looked awesome... so how exactly did you do it?

Did you section them? I hope it all works out for you :)

  • @Oliveyounz Hi i had this girl do mine for me..it took from 8am-11pm she sectioned my hair in boxes with the size dreads i wanted... then each section she backcombed to tease the hair then she used a crochet needle and just used it thru all the backcombed part to form a lock from the inside..then she used a crochet hook and locked each dread at the root which hurt very bad and i HIGHLY reccomend NO one using that method...its high maintnance which is exactly what i didnt want with the dreadlocks

  • @triggerhippieee That sound similar to how mine happened. I got my dreads about 2 weeks ago. Mine took 5hours for 2 people. She used a crochet needle and knotted throughout all the dreads but im not sure if she locked all dreads at the roots... I prob would have noticed if she did.

I was thinking about bleaching some of my dreads, I have seen a few videos on it and it seems to work ok.. my dreads are real thin so the dye shouldnt get trapped in there as easy. what do you think?

  • @Oliveyounz - i highly reccomend waiting for the dreads to mature a bit...dying my hair was the biggest mistake it was the biggest reason i combed them out...because the dye did get trapped adn i had a hell of time trying to wash it out..im talkin several attempts hour at a time in the shower and still my dreads were wringing out dye...weeks after dying my hair they got this smell to them and i decided to comb them out and when we were finished there was in fact DYE all inside the dreads...gross

  • wish we had more girls like u... :)

  • from hot to homeless

  • @bernie23232323232323 - LOL doesnt that seem quite judgemental and ignorant for someone to classify me as homeless bc i chose a natural hairstyle.... get a life...

  • @triggerhippieee I know you're not homeless, but it rhymed; I should have used "from hot to horribly ugly" or something else.

  • @triggerhippieee yeah, you know all us dreadlocked girls are livin on the streets. i mean, my life was fine until i got dreadlocks, now im the dreg of society. pfft. i love ignorant dread comments like his

  • @bernie23232323232323 you're horrible! she is beautiful and you're obviously just jealous and insecure.

  • nice tattz

  • after i made this video... last week i spent two days combing my dreads out... i made a bad decision to dye them and the dye was getting trapped inside the dreads, developed a wierd smell (or could just be im pregnant and my sense of smell is stronger than a dogs lol) i hope to retry the dread process a year from now and doing it natural next time..no crochet...i highly reccomend staying away from crochet method!!!

  • aww sweety your so pretty and its been so cool watchin your dreads progress from the beginning

cant wait to see em at 1 year
