  • atlanta definatly has a sunbelt feel to it thats totally different than chicago, philly and new york.

  • I've traveled this way many times. It's a great way to avoid highway traffic going north towards Buckhead.

  • The Prado is near I-285 from what I recall, I've lived here since 1977. if there is a Prado near Piedmont Park I am not familiar with it.

  • I dont not know of a Prado near I-285, but there definitely is one near Piedmont in the Ansely neighborhood. MapQuest it

  • I can see why Atlanta's traffic report reads like a story book. You were almost hit several times. People are nuts.... No better in Tampa Bay though. I have a near miss a day on average.

  • This is great, could you do one through pensacola? That'd be most awesome!

  • If you mean Florida, then I was planning on doing a drive through Pensacola one of these days on camera. Dunno if it would be as good looking as this but yeah.

  • Can you do one from the Dome to Uderground and End at the Varsity?

  • What kind of stories have you heard from the Disco Kroger? Sounds like a cool place

  • It was next to the hottest disco in Atlanta called "Limelight" so right there covers alot of it, that was a crazy place.

In 1994 I think, Andre Rison a star WR for the Falcons shot the place (Kroger) up during an argument with his girlfriend, Lisa "Left-eye" Lopes of the R&B group TLC, who later burned Rison's house down for an entirely different reason.

  • I always had heard about stories relating to Disco Kroger over the years. Thanks for posting that, since I always wondered how that particular Kroger location got its nickname from.

  • Wow! I knew about Left Eye burning down Rison's house (I saw it on Fox 5, back in the day). I didn't know he shot up the "Disco" Kroger, though.

  • Glad u upgraded to a much better camera this camera look terrible.

  • I ment to say video camera in my last comment.

  • Actually if you saw the footage uncompressed on a regular TV it looked pretty good, but the upgrade to an HD camera makes a world of difference.

  • i know that road well. I moved away from atlanta a year ago thank goodness! terrible traffic. I miss the great restaurants and shopping tho! but i am on the beach now in florida. very happy. cool video here!

  • Videos recorded on streets of USA

always see a lot of power lines on the streets (many cables within the urban area.)

The cables are telephonic or electrical?

can suppose a problem for the special transport?

  • sweet music

  • wow so many trees everywhere in atlanta, i dont think i culd get used to that bt im still movin to atlanta anyway.

  • try virginia same thing as georgia. if you can get used to DC or Norfolk you can get used to Atlanta

  • wut part of atlanta u from

  • i'm not from atlanta. i've been down there a lot though.

  • i live in VA and its pretty green & filled with trees

  • There are a lot of trees, but a lot of the trees have been knocked down to build new homes. (Too many if you ask me -- homes built and trees cut down.)

  • wut part of atlanta, all over?

  • Pretty much all over the suburbs: Roswell, Alpharetta, Gwinnett County, South Fulton, all over.

  • Another nice shot Jim :).

  • Nice drive, Jim.

I'm mad at those fools up there by Pharr Road and E. Paces Ferry. They almost took you out (lol).

  • That's typical driving for that area

  • Oh, man, how I know it (lol).

  • Thanks, I'm using some obscure "Chill/Acid Jazz" tunes from my collection, so far so good.

  • I-85 should be rerouted up to the I-64/95/195 interchange in Richmond, Virginia! I-195 should be extended east to I-64! We can call this new I-195 as I-864! What do you think?

  • I agree, and have always thought I-85 should've been extended beyond Petersburg, VA to begin with. In fact, I remember once reading old plans that someone shared online about where I-85 and I-95 merge, that originally show I-295 was supposed to run west of its intersection with 95 to 85. It also showed 95 would've ran along the route of what is 295, and 85 would've ran along present-day 95(north of the 85/95 interchange).

Of course if my understanding of that plan was wrong, please correct me.

  • hey, good one Jim. What music are you using that they don't harrass you about?
