My dad gave his Nissan Sentra B13 to me, and told me that he'd get me a new one when it breaks down. now i am giving it to my younger brother and told him the same.. the car is now 17 years old and still running. And my brother is complaining.
I just got a 2010 SER and it is the best trim for the money if u don't mind not having the bluetooth and audio controls. The backup camera and color display is a really nice touch
Weird... they say the rims have "six chunky spokes" but they have seven, and they say the logo has the "ubiquitous vertical chrome stripe", but the stripe is horizontal... wtf?
we have one of these i like it but out of 10 i rate it at around an 8, 2 things i don't like about it is that the back rides a tad harsh while the front rides smooth, the 2.0 engines needs a tad more power to go with the cvt tranny, everything else i like. i like the looks, and the leather interior doesn't make you feel like you are in a sentra...more like an altima. nissan built a good little car here but if you are like me and is into speed i recommend the ser or spec v version.
is this sentra a compact or midsize car? kbb says midsize, but when I actually look at it next to a...maybe honda civic or toyota corolla, which are compact cars, I find it to be very similar in size.
@mjuniorsc we have one in the family...i drive a 99 maxima gle. i personally hate the CVT. its good for gas, but horrible if you're looking to have fun driving
seems like a compact to me, i dont know. i just started looking at this car since everyone is telling me not to get the scion tc cuz it's a chick car. its kinda an ugly car, but has enough features to live in it!!!
Corolla and Civics are now more midsized nowadays as well. If you look at the Fit and Yaris, Matrix, Versa, you'll come to agree that they are midsized
my mom just traded in her maxima in on a 2008 2.0 sl with all the goodies, i like it but its no where near competition from the maxima, she got it for the 30 MPG.
Totally agree with you glockops. While there are little nags to the sentra, overall its a nice car. I got an 08 sentra a month ago with the 6 speed and I love it.
The Stealth Bomb $20K, 200HP SER-V'ss 0-60 is 5.97 secs! Styling? HAH! Cops don't "see" me 85MPH all day.
Don't knock those chipmunk cheeks!
7.2 sec 0-60? HAH! Lowball scores FOOLS other countries where they TAX HP. Car MUST make 235HP to move 2997 pounds that quick. 5.97 & just left 2nd gear.
@15000 miles expect 37 MPG in 6th @ 55-60 on high test, 33.7 MPG on regular, 28-29.5 around town. 0-20W oil, Fram filter, tires 44 pounds all way round.
I've had my Sentra SL since July 07.Love the goodies this model came with ( XM Radio,340 watt stereo with 6 disc changer, leather seats, sunroof) I have close to 10,000 miles on it already. I'm very happy with it EXCEPT last Oct, with about 4000 miles on it, the power steering went out! They had to order/replace steering column.Dealer was very good about it re:free loaner but be forewarned, this could be a future recall. MPG very good, actually hit close to 40 on hwy during one stretch.
WOW we just got one today, i havent even driven it and from looking at it it looks NICE. We got the base model tho. Looking at the reviews it will serve my mother very well as she is not into all the tech stuff. Very pleased with the looks and as what she said, it drives nice. got it for 14k!! Brother is a good negotiator. it was used tho. had 23k miles.
I have one, it's a nice car. Paid around $19k with options.
31-33 MPG average with CVT. 450-480 mile range. Quite speedy, very smooth and quiet ride (even at 80mph+), great commuter car. Trunk is crazy large.
Only complaints:
CVT occasionally jumps the car very slightly at low speeds (under 20mph). Center armrest is too far back, doors don't auto-lock when the car is in gear, doors don't auto-unlock when the handle is pulled.
I bought an 07 nissan just a little over a month ago. I absolutely love it. I great MPG, good power, an unbelievable 140 miles per hour ( I was surprised, because it's a small car) I am very happy with it. AND, from this video, I learned how to put my rear seats down! Lol. Didn't bother to read the manual... Now i know! I would suggest this car to anyone!
Nissan cars have a very good durability and their price is reasonable for something that is gonna last some extra miles, Sentra is actually more trustfully than Maxima or Altima, because Sentra is more like a Datsun traditional model, is not an sport car, but sometimes what you really want is convenience, not just pointless racing looks.
just got this exact car and I can tell it's gonna be a good one.

The Sentra is a compact car.

Sentra Is MIDSIZE!! GO LOOK A CAR STICKER!
hybridlancer2004 3 years ago 4
i always thought that the altima was the midsize and the maxima the full size while the sentra was the compact...and the versa is sub-compact.
sideburns2009 3 years ago
THIS IS A MIDSIZE CAR NOT COMPACT.
hybridlancer2004 3 years ago 4
It is a compact car but the EPA calls it a midsize because of the interior dimensions.

sentra is a compact car! it is much smaller then a corolla! nissan maxima and altima are midsize!
JakeHustle2 3 years ago
Sentras interior volume is larger than corolla!!What are you talking about??97.7 Cubic feet is Considered MIDSIZE!!GeeSH!!!

yeah, i'm wrong. EPA considered sentras as a midsize because of its interior volume. but the exterior is much smaller than corollas..
JakeHustle2 3 years ago
its said to be a midsized by the pros
jfizz313 3 years ago
no, sentra is midsize , it is bigger than VW JETTA and Toyota Corolla, it is like renault megane.
I have one, and I love it, mainly XTRONIC CVT gear.
mjuniorsc 3 years ago 8
It IS in fact the Renault Megane, at least it shares the same exact rear suspension with it, but it has been co-designed between Renault and Nissan
