  • Even though I am 13 years old, this song is beautiful. What time period was this song made? I may be mistaken, but is it around late 50s early/mid 60s?

  • @DeathLeftHid Hey there. Glad you enjoyed the song. The song was released in November 1966. The original version recorded by the great Ben E. King was released in 1961.

  • I was in a bar in downtown Saigon when someone played this song. I looked at the Jukebox and almost had a heart attack... Turner and I grew up in pretty much the same neighborhood in NY. He was about3 or 4 yrs older than me, I believe I met him once before I shipped off to Viet Nam. I haven't heard this song in 42 yrs...thanks so much for posting it.

    Spyder............... I heard it in a radio program when i was a teenager............. i redorded it a a cassette, but i lost it. Now I'm hearing it again....... times has change from that times. So much time, i feel im other person, far away, but the songs is the same, the voice is the same and i feel sure that im the same crazy teen.
