That TX room is locked off during opetation, The magnetic fields are enormous and any loose ferromagnetic material will be flying around in that room, if near the busbars.

Electrode cooling is on a separate supply to the transformer since it is a total loss system. This is the Tamini transformer is it not ?

Water is used for cooling which flows through the hollow pipes.
On the EAF clip you can see the water flowinhg out onto the carbon electrodes.
