  • @rightATRIUMZ It's much easier to stretch and point your toes than to pull your toes back. Gymnasts and dancers practice by pointing their toes because visual form in all positions is important in their fields. It is actually very useful to pull your toes back because apart from helping stretch more of the targeted upper leg muscles, it aligns your heel with your calf and it gives an immediate visual indication of foot to hip alignment. Only gymnasts or dancers complain about non-pointed toes :)

  • Unalingned pelvis, "open hips". Weird split. It seems to me he does only what nature has given to him, not much from real work and training. I suggest not working for yourself, but always under supervision of a good teacher or gym coach. Good intentions, not so good practice.

  • No it's never too late. Don't give up. Focus on your alignment when you are stretching. Taking yoga classes can help. Part of developing your flexibility is also related how strong you are try some isometric strength training as well.

  • I can do the same thing. But I started gymnastics at home since about 13. Everything is possible. All you need is patience and will power.

  • you´re not old!look at me, i´m already mum, i´m 25 years and i can do some splits, i´m also training the center splits but i may sure you that if really want to do it so you can, is important don´t give up at the first time, try,try every day, make a routine for yourself and propose to make it

  • yes but have you done it before?

    if yes that is not surprising, just start it now and than is a horrific experience, I found that is not a proper thing to do it everyday, twice or three times a week.You are just 2 years older than I am, and women tend to be a bit more flxible.

  • I can answer this. Not how long he has been traing, but how "it is". Some people (like me) have bodys that are flexible naturally. I don't do any stretching at home. That's boaring. Buy when I am training at a Gym, then am I stretching a lot afterwards. I can asshure you that many girls are looking at me when I am doing that. ;):)

  • thanks for showing the straddle from front and side, it's perfect. Now more balance on the standing split. I know that's one of the most difficult poses...
