You don't want a lot of snow like the North gets every year. Search for the Blizzard of 1977 or 1978 on You Tube, Buffalo, NY was buried. That blizzard hit the entire Great Lakes region, not to uncommon. Chris in Detroit, Michigan
In hindsight it should have been closed. They had reporters by a local High school in the county and the road temp was still a quite a few degrees above freezing when they made the call and they didn't anticipate icy roads. The various bridges around the county should have given them pause though.
My son said his bus slid into the opposite lane. We were lucky no one was hurt.
After two buses slid off the road in southern Randolph, Asheboro city closed their school but the rest of the county was open. My 10yr old said his bus slid into the other lane around one corner. By the time they left school the roads were fine.
Mondya morning's weather won't be a problem because my my kids have off Monday for a teacher workday. :(
The nice thing about the neighborhood is since there is not city sewer or water each home must have at least an acre of land to fit the septic system and the water well.
Get into the city and houses are right on top of each other.
Whe I lived in in Northern Californian I remember taking a road trip to find snow. We headed up into the mountains until we got to an elevation that was covered with snow. We let the dog run and had a nice afternoon.

I am doing well and it is nice to have a white Christmas. It was like that the 4-5 years I lived in Maine. Once the snow came down it didn't melt til Spring.
Haha thats nothing, I live in Southern Ontario and some years we get like 4-5 feet of snow !!! I hate the snow.

All you have to do is do a modified rain dance. If you step wrong though you might end up with a cyclone instead.
