the scene was good, but some part seem need to change in my opinion. on 0:51, is seem to be better to be a little closer when swinging the katana. and on 3:44 seem a little slow with the person being cut having no reaction to it at all.
Fight choreography was terrific in this one, gratz. The shaky camera actually worked really well, too, gave it a more real, intense feeling. The blue tint didn't really work, I think you could have given a blue cast using some better color tools in post than just putting that tint on it. This blue just makes it look like your camera wasn't white balanced properly. I liked the unarmed bits best. Al swords were wobbly and the $2 throwing knives were a bit unreal. Great job overall though.
great job with the choreography..actuall excellent job. i have to say this film is better than manyfight scenes ive seen in movies and i havent seen anyone else put up a wing chun video of there own, especially while fighting a tkd guy... great job man you deserve it
I'm of mixed feelings about this video. Looking at it "As is", i/e a work of fiction, then it is very well done, with good examples of technique shown by both actors. Looking at it realistically, however, the protagonist would have been dead several times over...slit wrist, sliced vein, etc, not to mention in a fight to the death, as this scene appears to be, one would NOT pull a fatal blow (see 1:40 )
WOW! That was flippin' awesome! I saw the beginning and I was thinking, "there's no way that this is going to be any good," Then i was wowed out of my chair! That was insane!
This was the best "low-budget" fight scene i've ever seen...I especially like it because Ving Tsun wins...Yay!!..Kepp up the good work...but, I only have 1 question...Where's the rest of the movie?..If all the fights are like this one, I've GOT to see it...
I didn't think you guys would make another fight scene. This is even better than that staff fight scene which has been a favorite of mine for years. You guys continue to improve in your skill with weapons and hand to hand scenes. Honestly, why can't the black guy win once? His moves are amazing, not that both of yours are not.
@lionclaw77 There's actually a good reason why he doesn't win. My friend is an AMAZING TKD stylist and I believe that he is much better than I am -> it's only formulaic for the underdog to triumph over the champion. It makes for a better fight scene through story, pacing, and choreography. Honestly, I would love to be a bad guy...but I don't have bad guy material ;_; well, not against for someone as great as my friend. ^_^
that. had to be the best fight scene I've ever seen anyone make on youtube. It was better than a lot of movie fight scenes I've seen. Exceptional work man
Cool to see that you're still doing it man, talent like yours shouldn't go to waste. I still come back to watch this fight every now and then, it's that good.
@MagicTsukai Thank you very much! I suppose someone flagged it....it's pretty gruesome if you think about it. Even with all the fake blood and the bad CGI work that I did, haha.
And try making videos! Do it for fun first to get the basic concept then work from there. It's a lot of work but it's very rewarding when you make something complete. Just like this new movie I'm working on, I just put up a new trailer a few days ago on this account. Check it out and thanks for the support!
Super epic, indeed! Great work, man! ;) What's the name of the song in the vid? I really like that song playing when they fight. It fits perfectly and is pretty catchy.
well, there wasn't that much wing chun as i hoped, but it was still great to watch. great choreo, and the tkd kicks were great too, very crisp as you said.
@fdesa12 Aye, I honestly believed that I kept to the style without it being too biased with the choreography aka Ip Man rolling on everyone all the time, which is something alot of people are doing lately. It's like a movie of a specific martial arts comes up and it's the new trend, a fad of what to do. Much like Krav Maga and Muay Thai were for a bit.
I wanted an equal representation with the applied modern HK style of movie fighting. That's pretty specific and a difficult to choreograph.
Awesome Choreography. I thought the blood was a little too much. It was real to a certain extent, but some of it got kind of excessive. Final fight scene. Was this part of a movie you guys did?
hey how would i get in to movie making or a martial arts actor? starting out. because im 13 and im a third degree bbelt in taekwondo and a 2 degree bbelt in wing chun and i want to make movies so how would i start to get in to it?
@trainmasterxxx Grab a camera and have fun with friends, that's how you really get into it. Have fun with making movies before you decide on making it a career.
@seolma your a dumbass because i do have a 3rd degree black belt in taekwondo i have been doing it since i was 3 years old! and my wing chun school does use belts!
Once again: You can't have a 3rd degree black belt in taekwondo at the age of 13. My teacher have been doing taekwondo for 23 years now and he's only 4 degree. You can't have a 3rd degre after only 10 years of practicing.
@seolma well maybe your TKD school is different but i am a 3rd degree bblt in TKD not lying. and at my school you get your 3rd DAN at the 10 year mark. you can find my school. put in KTA taekwondo its there!
Finally I belive you. I remember seeing 13 yrs old blackbelts. This is still ridiculous, A 10 yrs old can't be a black belt. Taekwondo federations are only thinking about making money, they don't give a damn if they don't train well their fighters.
@seolma It is ridiculous how fast some schools let students progress in rank. Being a black belt is supposed to say that you're one of the best trained fighters of that school. I want to see a 13 year old go against a much older martial artist of the same or from a different martial art fight on the same level and see it be a good and fair match. It's probably been done before, but I don't hear much of it.
@seolma TKD was invented in 1955 or something like that. I'm not sure if that says much for the TKD federation, but its still fairly new compared to other martial arts that's been around way longer.
@rur0un1x TKD might have been made in 1955, but it's lineage goes waaaaaaay back. I agree that there are McDojos out there that hand out belts like candy - but if some of those students actually really practice and workout everyday, whose to say that that specific martial art is bad?
In a sense, there's no bad art, just bad fighters.
@TeamFistyleZ Amen. I can reference it for you. It was founded by a Korean general. His name was Choi Hong Hi. Tae Kwon Do is a mix art combining Japanese Karate and a traditional Korean foot-technique called Tae Kyon. I found this in the Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia 2000.
Lineage? If you meant Tae Kyon, then yes. That's what it was originally.
@rur0un1x Yeah, I wouldn't claim that I know much about TKD, but yes, I meant Korean martial arts as a whole goes a long way back. There's Subak, Tang Soo Do, and Hwoa rang do - maybe this isn't a direct lineage to TKD but I just assumed a national martial art as a whole would incorporate the same techniques.
Either way, McDojo's are still bad but if you think about it, lately we don't have that anymore. Now we have MMA gyms with AMAZING trainers, just horrible students, haha.
@TeamFistyleZ MMA seems too broad. Its usually just a combination of Muay Thai, BJJ, and kick boxing. It just seems like another competitive sport. To me MMA is watered down compared to "real" martial arts. Not to say that a Mixed Martial Artist couldn't go up against a real martial artist that studies a specific or multiple arts. MMA'ists are trained for sport and to knock out. You get someone like a Shaolin monk, a Krav Maga user, etc., they're trained to kill.
@TeamFistyleZ "Horrible" students? I supposed lol. I go to my local Karate dojo whenever I can. There will always be those students that always look sloppy or they just don't care and those that look really dedicated and jump off walls and break boards without breaking a sweat.
hello, i'm recently hitted by a tae kwon do practitioner and the punch went straight to my mouth and i'm wondering if there is anyway i can just counter attack the next time it happens
Brilliant! I hope you will both go on to be involved in lager productions. The choreography is outstanding, the execution is flawless and it's 4 mins of fun. 10/10
that was fucking intense. the knife and hand to hand parts were better than the swords part. meaning the swords part was good, and the knife fight and hand to hand was fucking epic. Subscribed.
wow, good job. Me and two other guys are trying to choreograph a fight scene for a cultural fest that our school is having. Man i really need help with this one. man i can understand the asian guy why he cry´s at the end! somehow to kill destroys the soul! VERY NICE FIGHT i do tae kwon do but the black tkd guy dies :( xD
This was a lot better than I was expecting, I was actually blown away and quite moved, the music score was excellent, the blood effects were great for most of it, choreography smooth and fast. Brilliant stuff, five stars and subscribed

This was a lot better than I was expecting, I was actually blown away and quite moved, the music score was excellent, the blood effects were great for most of it, choreography smooth and fast. Brilliant stuff, five stars and subscribed
