  • Russia in 5 seconds?

  • OOUCH!!!..... Was that ..... SUPPRESSED???!!!.... kinda LOUD to be using a suppressor.... or its "moderator"....hahaha

  • @juanecheyt

The bullet is supersonic. Suppressors hide the muzzle blast but there is no way to eliminate the supersonic crack of the bullet unless you use subsonic ammo which has a much shorter effective range.

  • my fav sniper from bfbc2

  • is it just me or is this rifle very similar to the accuracy intl. ?

  • @UseUrHead503 just you

    and some other people apperantly

though i coud just swear the ones postign that shit only play games and watch future weapons

  • @UseUrHead503 btw, i hope kinda you where talking about the ai aw

because well, ai is the manufacturer of the as-50, ae line, ax line and the aw line

  • With one second left the video let me see the picture.

  • Russian weapons are the best in the world

  • @STALKER1918 And best of all is Ak 47

  • @hsnan009 High power doesnt mean the best.. you play to much video games.. i own an AK, it has a terrible accuracy and a lot of recoil, and it aims shitty

  • @AtomicFreerun s AK is wall off fire assaul rifle Take SVD or Vntorez belive me u will havnt problem with accuracy

  • @AtomicFreerun Having a cheap ass copy cat semi auto romanian or bulgarian shit, using cheap ass ammo and certainly being incapable of sighting without god damn reddot, doesn't mean AK are not accurate. AK are accurate, especially when you are firing a good one (real military russian AK for example), with good ammo and you are trained with it, it is accurate, whatever the caliber is. As for accuracy you should use AK74 in original caliber or 5.56 derivative though.

  • It's so easy to use, it's like an air gun except it's a firearm: almost no recoil yet it's so powerful, i'm in love.

  • greetings from finland! very nice rifle, have you ever shoot finnish manufactured sako-trg rifle?

  • @OPPzGaming your fuckin stupid

  • what does the sv98 shoot 7.62 by 54

  • russians know how to make weapons...

  • I hope you don't mind me asking, but how in the world can you get some hands on time with these weapons? I always thought the SV-98 was strictly Russian Law Enforcement/Military only.

  • @FatmanC4123 The guy is a member of the military community, iirc.

  • @Omsbon Actually, this guy was a fraud on Gunsnet that admitted to lying that he was in Russian Special Forces or "OMON".

  • where did u get a gun lke tat?! i want one!

  • I've always found the SV98's color disturbingly neon.

  • In looking at the conversation on calibers, does this use the same 7.62 x 54 ammo that the mosin-nagant runs? With the same boat-tail on the back of the casing?

  • @TTLYLOGANT Your the one that's stupid, why don't you look it up, the SV-98 uses both 7.62x54R and 7.62 NATO(.308 Win), Your name is now TTLYLAROGANT

  • @TTLYLOGANT You just wrote that to make yourself look cool for knowing the measurements of a bullet.

  • Ale urwał!

  • Antoxin, i'm not sure about which has more power, but da sv-98 is more than likely more accurate. Bolt action rifles are more accurate than semi autos

  • Okay, so is 7.62 x 51 the .308 cartridge. Or is 7.62 x 54 the actual cartridge size???

  • @MadamKouassi 7.62x51 is generally considered as the same as .308, while the 7.62x54R is .308 inches by width, it's not considered as the .308. same difference as with 7.62 russian and 7.62 nato, x39 & x51 respecitvely.

  • @TTLYLOGANT That's right. In the States the 7.62 by 51 is called the .308.

  • @TTLYLOGANT Go fucking look it up, you are so stupid not to do any research before calling others stupid. The actual size of the 7.62 is smaller than the 7.82 of the .308 and the 7.62 is .306. However, and don't qoute me on this, I think that both types of ammo are available for this weapon.

  • @shipston05 Actualy TTLYLOGANT is right. The 7.62 by 51 does not actualy measure .308, but the 7.62 by 51 is called the .308 in the states.

  • @woprl Then why the fuck is it called .308 if it doesn't measure .308?! It doesn't make sense!! (By the way, I don't want to argue with you, just asking a question :))

  • @shipston05 7.62 x 51, otherwise "known" as 308 NATO. The .308 Winchester is the civilian version with some differences in chamber specs and maximum pressures. They are not one and the same, but they are interchangeable.

  • @shipston05 .308 inches

  • @shipston05 You're answer is in the difference in measuring the lands versus measuring the groves. And, sometimes (in rare cases) they change the "name" cal of the cartridge to differentiate it from another cartridge (i.e. .38 special and .357, they are the same physical diameter, but not the same cartridge at all)

Your right though, it can get confusing.

For the record... The BULLET and barrel diameter (to the groves) of both the .308 win (and 7.62 x 51) and the 7.62 x 54 are the same.

  • At last a real sniper rifle for russia.

This is a very heavy one, superb barrel, ultra ergonomic stock, and 10 rounds magazine, yeah, superb rifle.

The 'rare" svd ammo is 7n14 (high precision steel core 7.62x54R), and of course you only use this in precision weapons.

certainly a better weapon that the Winchester 700 based US rifles (m24, m40...)

Only Sniper specialists and interior forces will have it, SVD is perfect for the marksman job in army (up to 800m)

  • that was kind of a cool video almost i think...????

  • no if you go into a more detailed look they are different they have pretty subtle ones but they are differances

  • i know its so agrivateing it looks like a L96 but its not but still cool

  • russian now how to make the gans

  • looks like an Accuracy international rifle

  • @UltraViolence14

looks like an Snaiperskaya Vintovka 98 rifle

  • ye your right

  • @halo200x ....cause it IS?

  • @L3G0LA597

read the guys comment I was replying to... I was being sarcastic because the guy said it looks like an AWM.

  • @halo200x because thats what it is

  • @halo200x what do you think the sv stands for..

  • does the sv that 7.62x54R? or does it take the rare svd ammo?

  • Both are in 7.62x54

  • SVD takes 7.62x54R, however I think you are refering to the 7N1 or 7N14 rounds which aren't rare, just expensive. They are sniper grade ammunition and the SV-98 will fir them, however I'm not sure of the accuracy increase with them.

  • oh i just thought it was rare because not much people use it

  • It is rare because it is not available for export and there aren't any copies of it. The Dragunov is pretty rare, but it is available for export, and it multiple cheap look alikes, such as the Romanian PSL, while being a completely different weapon using the AK action, visually resembles a dragunov.

  • @SpecialK47150 well yea the psl is a ak on steroids

  • @jikininki1

    7.62 0r 9x63mm

  • @jikininki1 svd ammo is is 7.62x54R, it just has a special boat-tailed bullet with a steel knocker in it that is designed for sniping and is more accurate. This ammo, though it could be wasteful, could be fired through ANY 7.62 Russian piece, even PK or something. Conversely, sniper rifles can shoot normal ammo too.

  • hideous green.

    olive and black FTW

  • can you get a SV-98 in black camo? it always seems to be green when ever i see 1 lol

  • is the rifle next to it a svd or a svdk?

  • svd

  • o, im just not use to the black furniture on it or somethin

  • No the SVD is no on badcompany, the SVU is

  • na i just thought the svd was a svdk kus it looks bigger that normal and the black furniture

  • Dude, wtf? The green-stocked rifle in the vid is NOT an AWP. Even the title says it's an SV-98. Not the same either in caliber or country of origin

  • looks a lot like the AWM

  • my bad, but anyways the 7.62x54r is a nice round, so happy it's no longer over 20$ a box. I love shooting my mosin-nagant.

  • I love my M44 Mosin Nagant. Also my SKS and my VZ. 58. Rock on Combloc weapons.

  • Way too loud to be practical. There are bolt-actions superior to this thing that are quieter even without the silencer

  • Well, in real life firearms don't sound as in movies, you know. Now you show me a quieter full-caliber rifle without a suppressor, and we shall talk again.

  • The funny thing is that it has a silencer and still is quite loud ^^

  • i was just commenting.. why did people give me thumbs down?? it does look like whats on counter-strike to me.. im sorry if im not a genius in rifles like what you people are.. damn.. chillax people..

  • does izhevsk sell any sporterized or hunting versions of this?

  • Yes. Search for "Record CISM" on their site. That's the rifle the SV-98 is based on.

  • Cool, thanks.

  • I hear this rifle is really disliked by the troops

  • They look similar, but the L96 fires the

.308 NATO, .300 Magnum or .338 Magnum and has a longer barrel. The SV-98 fires the AK47's bullet, which is basically a shorter version of the .308 (and is apparently a LOT louder)

  • Dude, it is chambered for the 7.62x54R. And no, the 7.62x39 isn't a short version of the .308.

  • My mistake, I was merely pointing out that the AK and .308 are the same caliber in terms of width (7.62mm is the same as .308cal), which is why it can be chambered for either bullet, but I will admit that it fires a longer bullet than the AK- my mistake. And for the sound, I was pointing out that it is still very loud even with a silencer/moderator on it. Other rifles such as the DSR-1 are quieter. Granted, it (the DSR) is designed for covert ops.

  • The bullet diameter of the 7.62x39 does not equal the diameter of the .308.

  • Comment removed

  • Omsbon is correct, the 7.62 x 51mm nato is interchangeable with the .308 in some weapons but the projectile, catridge and internal dimensions are different. .308 is 7.8 mm in diameter the nato is 7.82mm not much difference but a difference non the less.

  • @Omsbon Correct, .308 is 7.82 not .62 so there a significant difference.

  • @Omsbon Yes it does a .308 winchester is a 7.62 x 51 thereby the 7.62x39 in width equals the width of the .308

  • @TheMohawkNinja That's the nominal caliber. The actual bullet diameter of the 7.62x39 is .311. Why are you guys digging up such old stuff anyway, especially when you haven't checked your facts?

  • @Omsbon By facts I'm going by the math involved not by random exceptions that are seemingly pointless to be there.

  • @TheMohawkNinja Those random exceptions as you call them are not random at all. Many, if not most caliber designations do not equal the actual bullet diameter.

  • @Omsbon Why not make them accual bullet diameter?

  • @TheMohawkNinja For various reasons. The caliber is the barrel diameter, either from land to land or from groove to groove. The bullet diameter must be slightly larger than the land-to-land caliber so the bullet can engage the rifling. Some designations are meant for distinguishing different rounds such as .222 and .223 Remington, both of which have the same .224 bullet diameter. Yet another rounds are named the way they are for commercial reasons, such as the .357 SIG.

  • @TheMohawkNinja

That's one of the few. Most caliber designations don't match the actual bullet diameter. 7.62x54R, 7.62x39 and .303 British all have .311 diameter bullets. While the .308, .30-06, the .300 magnums, .30 carbine, .300 whisper, and many others are .308 diameter. The only one of those that gives it's actual diameter is the .308.

Also The .38 special, .380 ACP and almost every round with ".38" in it's name has a diameter of .355 or .357, not .38 as the name would have you believe.

  • actually 7.62 = .306, not .308

  • lol thats roman from military photos and russian arms

  • sorry these one: world.guns.r u/sniper/sn28-e.htm

  • This is NOT Dragunov snipe...It has been developed by IZHEVSK company for special operation forces !

    world.guns.r u/sniper/sn18-e.htm

  • hes talking about that rifle on the front.

  • theres this verion, svd, and svu

  • Na, the SV-98 is bolt action, Dragunov is actually semi auto

  • Your thinking of the H&k PSG-1.

  • Nope, i'm not, i know that's semi-auto too.

  • Dude, the SV-98 is neither a semi-automatic rifle, nor is it made after the SVD.

  • Well the SV-98 isn't semi-automatic, its bolt action. Thats why I said maybe your thinking of the H&K PSG-1.

  • i ain't thinkin about that stupid H&K PsG-1...

  • @richboy900

Is it more powerful and accurate than SVD?

  • Hell of a noise, but no spark, I like it.

  • Our dear friend Roman shooting, bet he didnt hit anything.

  • looks like an l96 and he should shoot the dragunov next to him

  • looks like a black, modified Dragunov svd

  • sry i know ,lol

  • What is the other weapon?
