Kelly Chase sitting with Twist in the box reminds me of that little toadie in A Christmas Story. The one that followed Scut Farkus around all the time........LOL.
the reason I loved Twist more than a lot of the other historic fighters is his eyes. when that dude got mad, and you looked into his eyes, you just got genuinely afraid for what he was about to do to someone.
Twist was at my sister and brother in laws bar on broadway Just a real nice guy had a few beers and was great to talk to OH yea he is the tuffist guy to ever lace them up!!!!
I liked watching Twist more than anyone else too. And Hull was giving Twist only his due credit. Twist would not have existed if not for small, fast high scoring players like Hull. Hull could not perform his game if not for the defense(terror) Twist put in their opponents. - Those were great days to be a St. Louisan.
Twist is about 6'0 tall.He hangs out around here and is really a down to earth guy.He still works out all of the time and is still a beast.Real nice guy and he owns a few bars and a cigar bar here in St.Louis.He hangs out at them a lot.
He demonstrates why hockey is the greatest sport on the planet. Humble, willing to sacrifice himself for his team...do you find this in any other sport? The answer is no.
@jamoss11 Id say rugby there are a few show offs but alot are humble and have banter with there mates but would die on the field for each other well its like that in my team
he did take steroids but thats just an excuse he could of been like 160 lbs and beat the shit outta everyone like it helped but he was still be a great fighter without them he was one of the toughest no doubt about it
fuck that..are you serious? theres lots of great fighters laraque isnt really that tough and theres not many tough people in the league today and people close to tiwst would be probert stu grimson and people that were limited to there toughness because of size pj stock for one and many others but if pj stock was the size of twist he would kick his ass
God anyone who would ever fight Twist had to be insane. I doubt we'll ever see a guy like this again. Amazing guts and toughness. And what I love is how laid back he is. All the fighters seem to be.
Twist beat Probert IN the '95-'96 season TWICE when probert was with chicago and the next season FOUR time Twice in the same game. Got video to prove it!! Probert WAS GARBAGE!!!
The Heir to Cement, Bruise Brother, the Hammer. ESPN did most feared back early nineties for all sports, Kocur Represented hockey, Anthony Mason basketball, forget baseball, football. Twist the man, good post

this guy was crazy when i was about 4 i went to preschool whith his daughter. hes a toatly diffrent guy when hes not playin hockey.
papafrito123 3 years ago
Twist was quite one dimensional fighter. But he was probably one of the bulkiest and strongest hockey players ever.
Fighting a guy with that kind of strength level is difficult. And his right hand punch was extremely powerful.
He gained 30 pounds of muscle in very short time. He was a good fighter prior to that, but the exceptional strength made him the fighter he was.
