Spinal is not Eagle in no sense.. Even when KI2's storyline is shown.. Spinal is still a Skeleton in the past, not a living Indian.. Only those people who don't understand that always jump to KI's ending and say "SPINAL IS EAGLE!!111!!one!!1"

@Mario60665 No. Spinal killed Eagle in the previous Ultratech Killer Instinct tornament. Thunder finds out. He kills Spinal. But now Spinal is haunting Eagle's grave. Until he is resurected by Ultratech of course.

I think the reason Spinal pops out at the very end is a prelude to KI2. I remember when I was a kid Spinal's bio in KI2 said, "Although destroyed by Thunder in the present, a younger Spinal still exists in the past." Maybe that's what it was about. That we haven't seen the last of him. Just my opinion.

i think the reason chief thunder wasent in KI2 is because he had no reason to enter the second tornament he only entered KI to find out what happend to his brother.

it was Eyedols death that triggered the timerift

Thunder wasnt there when Eyedol died

Your so right I also wondered why they would exclude Thunder from KI2... I wasn't really good with him but I think he was a great character and I was disapointed that he wasn't in the sequel.

I think that since Spinal used to be more than 1000 years old (2650 years old to be exact), he learned how to use his spirit (ghost) to haunt other poor souls. That's why the Eagle soul can't rest in peace forever, because Spinal's ghost will haunt him for all eternity. It is possible that one of the reasons why Spinal does it is because he is jealous of Thunder for beating him and for winning the Killer Instinct Tournament and wants to take revenge by making his brother suffer ceaselessly.

I think Rare were just to lazy to design another skeleton, so they used the replica of Spinal. Originally, they wanted to include Thunder's brother Eagle in KI2 and/or KI Gold. They even wanted to include Riptor's son.

No it doesn't. I just watched it and it says nothing of Spinal being his "brother". The endings are the same as the arcade text storyline goes.

The ending either gives the very, less than subtle impression that Spinal = Eagle, or that Eagle returns from the grave like Spinal, or that Eagle's spirit simply will never rest.

Spinal is not Eagle at all. In the past, Spinal was still all *bones* even when Chief was born. So they are not related. I think it's just a humourous ending.

I think the most logical conclusion I can come to, (while keeping this canon) is that, Eagle kinda gets in a similar position to Spinal's... why, well, I'm not sure, but, in KI2, there apparently exists a magical artifact which can do just that for that, so, a second skeleton monster seems plausible to me.
