i played the same club with him in jackson, ms. the 930 blues cafe i believe. he is an incredible guitarist and singer and a beautiful humble man. his long sets are legendary and mind blowing to this white boy. i bow to him.
Saw him 7/17/09 at Chan's in Woonsocket, RI. He played for 4 1/2 hours with a 1/2 hour break. Amazing guitarist and a super band to support him. Love his new bass player.
I saw Michael live for the first time two days ago in Germany. He totally blew the crowd away with a killer set. What makes him so special is that sweet, sweet tone he gets out of his Gibson! Yup, he is the real deal, don't miss his show if he's performing anywhere near you!
@MrCaribbean it is custom made for him, both his overdrive and his other distortion. but his delay pedal is a delta delay and he uses a compression pedal, but the sound is because of his dr. z amp. He uses a delta 88 that also includes the dr. z airbrake to create the overtone at an except able level.
