Are there any organists out there how have a copy of Amy Beach's ''Prelude on an Old Folk Tune'' for organ. I believe that it might be out of print, and I cannot seen to track down a copy anywhere. I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks!
I'm truly grateful to play an instrument whose champion today is a person such as Rachel Barton Pine. Beautiful music from a beautiful soul. Happy that youngsters starting out can look to someone like her as an inspiration for their own playing. Simply elegant playing.
I saw Rachel featured on Religion and Ethics (pbs) last week and was quite moved by her story and her talent. It's wonderful to see her in the midst of a successful career. I appreciated the informative introduction. Maude Powell was an amazing person, truly inspiring. I will make sure to look her up. The Amy Beach piece is quite lovely :)
I really appreciate how you take time to introduce and explain the pieces you play. It's fascinating to hear some of their histories. This is such a sweet and beautiful performance - thank you for sharing it!!
Simply amazing. You probably don't remember this, but you over heard me playing this piece in Evanston about 6 months ago and we discussed the piece briefly. Ever since then I've wanted to see you perform this piece. And as it turns out, your interpretation is really lovely. Thank you for posting this.

I love this piece. Barton Pine is a little dramatic with the facial expressions and leaning, but she still plays this wonderfully.
